Randolph had no business being in the game.

That was a bummer missing out on the sweep. Maybe they can avoid one in the next series in Starkvegas. I know they have a one game only against Samford first, though.

This one stings. We can't afford to piss away games like this one was.

Oh well.

It’s games like this one where Bo lacks for depth but he coaches like he has a stacked roster. Maybe these will turn out different in a couple of years

Sucks because it’s probably going to come down to us, SC, KY and TN as the last team in the SEC Tourney and we have a much harder road ahead, or so it appears.

Boy we needed that sweep. Last 6 series

@ #8 Mississippi State
vs #4 Vanderbilt
vs #12 LSU
@ #15 Auburn
vs #11 Texas A&M
@ #7 Georgia

Even going 9-7, which means winning 3 series and not getting swept in any, would only have us finish the year at 13-17, which is probably the lowest SEC record we could post and make the NCAAT.

Not getting 1 in Gainesville + not finding a way to sweep USC is going to probably cost us the NCAAT and maybe the SECT.

I'd be happy winning one or two of those series, no sweeps.

Post season play would take a miracle at this point.

Agree - and have to take a deep breath and remember the trajectory of the program is still good. Assuming we win 1 series and don't get swept and win 4/5 OOC.....

2017 : 19-34-1 (5-24-1) (RPI 175)
2018 : 27-29 (8-22) (RPI 82)
2019 : 32-24 (11-19) (RPI ~50)

That close to the conference schedule looking even more daunting than it did in preseason.

I guess a lot of that will come down to the Missouri appeal, right? If they are held out then it's basically down to us/Tennessee/South Carolina for the last spot (Kentucky is done).

Haven't looked but I gotta think Tennessee has a better shot to find some wins with Kentucky/Missouri still left.

Well at least we own the tie breaker over SC. Sounds like the Missouri appeal may drag out past the tourney and any sanctions won’t be enforced until after appeals process.

Never thought I’d be happy just making the SEC Tourney. Man last years tournament was exciting to watch!

5 fricking wins. Almost seems impossible not to just luck into more conference wins than that.

There were several high school coaches in the state that would have been better. What a terrible hire. I boycotted that season. I will never forgive Bill Battle. That was more than a FOG hire. That was a lazy, piss on baseball, DGAS hire.

I don't think Battle was necessarily a FOG. I think he just had no fricking clue what he was doing with regards to overseeing a major Division I athletics department. Fortunately he never had to make a football hire. I don't even want to imagine how much of a circus that would have been considering how jacked his basketball and baseball "searches" were. Jimmy Sexton would have used Battle to get all of his clients a raise.

I’m sure Freddie Kitchens would have worked out well!
