It's a pretty sad indictment on our state and country that there are so many that operate in this manner.

And dangerous. Divided, we fall.

I will go to my grave believing that Obama's election (not anything but his 2008 election) sent American politics off the edge.
The "anything but a dem" B.S. is pure Obama fear.

Good to see there are still people left in Alabama who would give both sides a fair hearing before voting for a candidate. This blind following of Republican Pied Pipers cannot be good for any constituency. When more and more voters start thinking like some of you there might be a sudden change like we had in the eighties.
I remember Fob James,a Republican had to become a Democrat to get elected Governor. Can you believe that?

Maybe it's because Obama was a dogshit president who turned the country in a direction that many people don't like. It's not some "Obama Fear" like you state, it's a rejection of his ideology. But, I can see why some folks call it "fear" because that ties in with the most current beloved democrat talking point; that the other side is racist, sexist, homophobic, islamaphobic and all the other bullshite phobias they come up with on the daily basis.
But, it's amusing to me that the LSU fanbase uses the same wording to address bama fans. "tFear", "you sound scared" and all the other bullshite "fear" slogans used by LSU fans toward Bama fans are just total bullshite. And your argument that people not wanting to vote democrat are suffering from "Obama fear" is just as hollow as the bullshite spewed over on tRant.

He's fixed a lot of it so far. Still lots of work left to do though.

No, it's because he was black.

And that's why people don't relate to today's democrat party. Bc if you don't agree with their policies, you're a racist, homophobic, blah blah blah. And that's become the basis of the whole party. No ideas. No arguments. Just name calling. It's pretty sad really.
But that's all yall got, so stick to it.
And if you want to call me a racist to my face, meet me at Sonic in Prattville and find out. (Looking at you guru)

I mean, shite. How long did we have to hear people complain about his birth certificate or that they thought he was from Africa.

It might have been the tipping point but we were heading in that direction prior.

First, plenty of peolple relate to the democrat party. Hillary did win the popular vote, so it's certainly not unpopular. Hell, even Saban just endorsed a Democratic Senator.
The idea that race did have a lot to do with the vitriolic hate towards Obama makes sense when you actually look at his policies. In reality, Obama was very much a centrist who's main failing was an unshakable belief in compromise, despite entering into his presidency in a time of hyper-polarization. He either failed to realize this or just refused to accept it, but either way it hurt him and his legacy.

There are ideas, and real arguements, but the people on the right who hated him typically won't consider them. Obama to them, was a socialist dictator, which is so completely absurd that it destroys all chance at real conversation. Read my exchange with FatKid as a great example of this. If a dominant subset of the population you wanna have a discussion with just scream nonsense and intentionally avoid objective consideration, it's hard not to wonder if maybe the reason isn't his actual policies, but a deep hatred that comes from some other place entirely, like racism. Then when you see a bunch of people getting behind ideas like "white-genocide" and white nationalism, it's hard not to think that there may be a connection there.

Come on. After what the Dems pulled during the Kavanaugh hearings, you wonder why people consider them loons?
In my book, no decent human being calls themself “democrat” anymore.
I’d sooner vote for the communist party. At least their candidates have the integrity to admit what they really are as opposed to relying on the stupidity and hysteria of their constituencies.

Well, I'm AA so nobody can call me that label but my issue with O was he was a social progressive version of Dubya. He helped destabilize Libya and got us involved in situations we had no business sticking our noses (Syria, Ukraine). I appreciate his handling of Cuba, but that's it as far as nation foreign policy.
As far as economic, he was status quo (federal reserve, bailing out big banks, an infatuation with regulation).
His healthcare policy was the wrong solution and national debt doubled under his watch.

You better watch it my friend. You saw what they just did to Kayne.

Kayne wants attention, the whole thing is bizarre. Like it's his turn to serve as a distraction from real issues.
