I get it. If you've got nothing else, cut and paste baby. Tried and true.
Yikes.
No, no, no.
Go with "ooof" or "wow" or "EL OH EL" next time.
You have to change it up.

Scored 7 the next year. 17 each of the two years before.
Not sure scoring 44 one out of four years is acceptable for what Alabama needs at this point. Seems the opposite of consistency.

Joe Brady would be an incredible hire. His offense at LSU in 2019 was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. It was poetry in motion. He made Sarkisian look like a noob.
If we can get Joe Brady, we take him in a heartbeat.
Dan Mullen would be OK but in my opinion we need to go new school on offense, old school on defense.
The younger the OC the better imo. We need a passing game wizard.

Yea with Emory Jones hurt and Anthony Richardson making the 2nd start of his career.
He almost beat us with Emory Jones at Qb that same year.

That’s kind of a ridiculous take. Joe Brady called that offense with another OC and he had a generational QB

But he didn't, which is the point. Two more losses. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I think the biggest issues with Brady are questions of who is to credit, who is to blame over the course of his young career.
Emsfinger called the plays for LSU in 2019, save the red zone plays. Brady brought in the passing concepts, but barely worked with the running game.
In Carolina, he was dealt a busted Cam Newton and ended up being a scapegoat firing to give Matt Rhule another year. Though the offense Brady rolled out caught a lot of criticism from the lack of creativity scheming guys open and the lack of cohesion shown in the ground game.
I think he's got a great mind for the game, he just was promoted at a speed that bordered on being an example of the peter principle. Too much too soon.

He would be very interesting, but if he took the job I don't think Simpson has any chance of seeing the field. Granted I want the best to win out after off season development, but it seems like it will not be a contest based on the type of QBs Mullen coaches.
Why do you say that? Simpson had twice as many yards rushing in his senior year of high school than Milroe had in his entire high school career. Granted, Milroe probably played against better competition in Texas than Simpson did in Tennessee. No doubt that Milroe is bigger, and faster. But Simpson has wheels, too. Mullen has shown an ability in the past to adapt his system to best fit the talent he has in a particular year. All of our other available backups have skill sets closer to Simpson than to Milroe, so that might be a factor, also. I'm not sure Mullen's even the guy we'll end up with, but I think he'd be a step up from BoB.

Same. I would be happy if we hire Brady but I still have questions. He was great for one year for sure no doubt about that.
With Mullen I can go back 20 years and see a line of good offenses. He was with Meyer at bowling green 20 years ago, went with Meyer to Utah, then to Florida ect. Great, long resume.
I doubt we find anyone else as qualified as Mullen.

The same generational QB and OC who looked like trash the year before Brady came in

I hope CNS hires someone better than Mullen or Brady. I suppose we could do worse than Mullen, but I don't like him. Dabo made a great hire in Garrett Riley, imo.

That was a great move by Dabo. Clemson will be undefeated in the acc again.

I’d take a look at Jim Svoboda from Tulane. In one year they went from Offensive FEI of 74th to 25th, and went from scoring 27.6 pts/game in 2021 to 36 this past year.
He runs a balanced offense mostly out of shotgun that doesn’t lean on RPO too much, and uses the run game, quick passes and check downs to to move chains while protecting the QB from taking too many hits. Offense is fairly explosive and he’s good at scheming the ball to his best players. He also strategically applies tempo to take advantage of offensive momentum after a big play happens
He’s only been at Tulane a year. Feel like we could get him fairly easily

Last 5 years YPC for his WRs has been as follows 15.47, 15.47, 18.07, 14.50 and 13.75 (Tulane).
At Tulane his 3 top WRs had 30+ catches each and averaged 19.77, 19.91 and 16.79 ypc respectively.
Top rusher had 112ypg and 6.9ypc, team avg was 5.15ypc.
Seems adept at using the run to setup explosive pass plays.
Please go get this CNS

I texted Boz to pass his bio along to CNS. It has Svoboda's phone number.

If he gets hired I’ll take my referral bonus in the form of playoff tickets
SEC championship will also do in a pinch

An interesting little FYI. Svoboda (???????) is Russian for freedom.
Posted on 1/15/23 at 9:44 am to TidalSurge1
Keep in mind with Svoboda, he was basically stripped of the offensive play calling duties before the season started, and according to Willie Fritz, play calling "were a staff-wide effort". Slade Nagle basically became the defacto OC back during spring drills, and has now been given the title officially even though Svoboda is technically still on the staff.
