Keep it in perspectice folks. We won the championship last season, and we made it back there this season with a true freshman qb. Did you really think we would even make it to the playoff prior to the start if this season after finding out we were starting a true frosh qb? The future is bright, and I'm looking forward to next season.

ROLL TIDE!

To be honest it sucks but it feels about right that Bama won one and Clemson won one based on how good the two teams were last year and this year. I hope they struggle to find a replacement for Watson because their defense will only be better. Also, when does that god damn white receiver graduate?

Any year we don't win a championship is a failure. Being this close to it all makes it even worse.

Well and good, but what if Hurts doesn't improve his passing efficiency? I think he will. I certainly hope he will. It isn't out of the realm of possibility, though, that this is as good as it gets.

Clemson's D didn't have to defend the entire field, in spite of our very good receivers.

We shall see, but the guy played great football for a true freshman. I'm not sure you can ask much more of a true freshman qb. He even scored the go-ahead td that could have sealed the game. He will absolutely improve as a passer in the offseason.

ETA: Losing Scarbrough was huge too.

Bama has been playing football for over a 100 years, with only 16 National Championships. Are all those other seasons failures?

It would have been great to win a National Championship, but this season has not been a failure.

14 wins, a SEC Title, a Bowl win and a National Championship Game appearance. It has been a hell of a season.
