Personally, I'm all for the balanced smash them to death offense rather than high scoring, wear the defense out type of offense.

Get out here with your “ultra violent “ chess game bs. Didn’t say we have never had good offenses. Bama has never had a reputation as a “fun- wide open” type offense and I am fine with that . Not complaining I just think it would be fun to watch an offense like Oklahoma’s or Clemson with our talent . Nobody is complaining with results or whatever. Geez dude , take a break from your condescending bs on EVERY post that you don’t agree with

You complained about Bama never having "high-flying" offenses in your lifetime. I assume high-flying means high-scoring, and so Bama has had several high-scoring offenses in the last decade, which makes your belly-aching unwarranted.
Secondly, did you ever consider that those "high-flying" offenses you are so passionately clamoring for are scoring that many points, often through the air, because of the quality and nature of defenses in their conferences and in their part of the country? Did you ever consider that maybe, just maybe, Bama plays a schedule with a bunch of tough defenses year in and year out, and if Bama played in the Big 12, we'd average 50 a game? Huh? Have you ever considered the competition on the other side of the ball? No, you haven't, because you are choosing to not think critically.
And so, yeah, I'm being condescending, and I'm doing it on purpose because fans like you that complain about shite you don't understand are infuriating and make me wanna puke. So yeah, that's where we stand.

Dude, get over it. I never said you didn't understand the game. I said you complained about a thing you didn't know about, meaning a specific thing. Sorry if that was unclear.

Which is why I assume you got hot under the collar. I think you were looking for a significant insult when it wasn't one, and I think you do that cause it's me posting and you're looking for a reason to be offended. Many posters on here would've seen the supermodel quote and came back with something else fun, but you got all serious and hurt. Nobody made you see it that way.
And so, no, I'm gonna come back at you when you do that.
And so now that you got all hot, and then lost the argument, you wanna leave the argument, defend yourself personally, and then challenge me to fight in real life. Seriously? Are you having that bad of a day? Is the weather bad there or something?
Also, I respect the fact that you coached HS football, and thanks for doing that. I always appreciate those who go into coaching and mentoring young men. Additionally, I look forward to your commentary on future Xs and Os discussions if your are into that. Many posters aren't and I'd love to see more of it from you and folks with your experience.
I am also not a computer nerd. Well, actually I am really good at computers, but I was also an All-State LB in Alabama in 1996 and academic All-State in Baseball in 1995 and 1996 as a pitcher. I got hosed in 96 for regular All-State, 8-1 with a 0.75 era. C'mon.
And lastly, I don't want to fight you. It would serve no purpose. I'm 6'1" 230 and haven't hit the part of mid-life where you body starts be noticeable older. I feel like I'm 24. I'm in real good shape. I think I could play DIII ball today if my joints held up. I like my chances in our fictitious fight.
I also live in another country. Sorry to disappoint.
But in summary, I am not going to back down for the reasons stated above, and I also respect your having read the situation differently and viewed my posts differently. And so I will take your advice and dial back the snarky a bit, and I'm sorry you got offended. But I maintain that you were wrong in your complaint. The main issue I had was your "ONCE" in all caps.
I do, however, share you hope for an amazing offense this year. Yes, it would be a thing to see with this defense. My disagreement with you is that we've had it before several times.

Post 1 was in relation to TMZ type drama created by fans discussing off-the-field topics. It was the obvious topic of conversation in that thread and with the posts surrounding mine.
You are taking the word drama, using a different meaning of it, and implying that I meant to avoid heated disagreement about Xs and Os football. I did not mean that and do not mean that in the future.
But I just said in the above post that I'd dial it back. I have no problem with other posters reeling me in. We're cool.

Yeah, if your the type to make unfounded complaints during the game, we'd have a problem. I'd let you know.
If your the type to let the game unfold and analyze it logically, but also not talk too much during the game, we'd likely be compatible.
I also more purposefully avoid being an arse in public, most of the time. I don't have the same filter on the internet.

I used to enjoy your posts prevatt but you are narcissistic and refuse to admit when you are wrong and go out of your way to demean the person you disagree with. It isn't right dude. None of us deserve to be debated with like that from a fellow Bama fan.

Now this is kind of disconcerting. If "John Doe" actually is Marquis Maze, and if he thinks Saban might settle on Hurts because of some sense of loyalty, then that's not good. I would note that he said "start" and not "settle" but he sounded seriously concerned, and if it is in fact Maze, then he knows Nick Saban better than anybody on this board does.
