There are too many poor decisions and lack of explanation for things like time management. Golding can't make adjustments and shouldn't be a DC. Bob should of been fired last year. Bama has gone the way of Saban and turned sift with him.. the problem is there isn't a real coach to bring in to right this ship and that's just the honest truth. Just beat auburn and call it a year to forget.

Sometimes I think about him pushing on Roy Upchurch and I wonder if he still does anything like that.

We forgot what not being elite looked like. This is what it looks like.

I think we all knew this day would come but it’s still jarring.

It’s sorta like the first time you saw your dad get yelled at by his boss

Is it possible someone is trying to sabotage Saban? I mean it’s the only explanation I can come up with.

sabotage Saban?

He's 70 years old. What 70 year old do you know that is still on top of his game?

He isn't being sabotaged. He is old. He's allowed the identity of Alabama football to be changed from bruising, imposing, run first offense and punishing, intense defense to what it is today.
You think Tua or Bryce come to BAMA if we're still running the ball 50-60x per game and playing MAKE HIS arse QUIT defense??

I think Tua would. Tua's dad made him play for Saban

And, our offense was more balanced when Tua was here because we had better OCs.

Ok. I'll give you Tua.

How much coaching do you guys really think Saban is doing?

BAMA just looks so different the last 2 years. Undisciplined. Sloppy. Abandoning the run. Going for 2 when it isn't necessary. All the penalties.
Hardly any forced turnovers. Is that blitz that Javy Arenas made famous illegal today?

The closer college football gets to being like the NFL, the harder it will be to find hungry players with the alpha mentality that can be coached. This is why college coaches typically don’t do well in the pros. I know it’s been said many times, but it’s the sad truth. It’s honestly better to recruit 3 star guys with chips on their shoulders than 5 star prima donnas.

I had several people tell me that Coach worked incredibly hard on preparation for the SEC title game, and it showed. I think it is very realistic that we lose to Ole Miss next week and lose in a bowl game. That will be the first 4 loss team since 2007, Coach’s 1st year establishing our program back.
Moves made during this offseason will determine how much longer Coach stays. I take him at his word that he will retire if he sees he can no longer do the job. If we have a poor year next year, recruiting will begin to show a downturn. That will be the true indication of the end of the current run.
It is crucial that he evaluate the program top to bottom during the off-season. We need changes in our strength and conditioning program; we are being pushed all over the field, and our defense never knocks anyone backwards on a tackle. They do what Coach Bryant used to refer to as “loving him down.” We need a really good OC and DC to come in and set a tone with the players, and we need for Coach Saban to find some of that fire he used to have. I don’t know if that last part will happen. Time has altered Coach, as it does us all. I still believe in him, but if he does not get a new OC and DC, we will become a team a bit better than Arkansas on a consistent basis.

People talk about the transfer portal, NIL, etc as excuses. Doesn't fly since every other program is under the same reality.

Saban has to simply not accept subpar results from his staff. If he cleans house... making real changes and decent hires, I think we'll be fine. If he brings this staff back mostly intact, I will agree he's put it on cruise control now.

I'm not ready to write off Saban. The man deserves some leash. But if he doesn't stop the slide and he starts to take the program down, his future may need to be evaluated. But I'll give Saban this off season to see what he does to fix the situation before jumping to drastic solutions. But he better get it in gear.

Whether he has lost a step or not, I wouldn’t trade him for any other Coach. None. He has earned the right to coach us for as long as he wants. He will know when to move away before any body else.

I've always said Saban's strengths as our HC is 1.recruiting & 2.having our players motivated each and every game.
#1 is still there.
#2 is not.
LSU wanted the game more than our guys.
It's now happening quiet frequently.
Some of our guys seem unmotivated.
No longer flying to the football on defense. Consistently getting manhandled on both lines of scrimmage.

I think it really could be as simple as having 2 bad coordinators. We already knew Golding was bad. But now BoB has been proven to be a disaster as well.

When Saban has had success it's always been with great coordinators.

I do remember, specifically our past D Coordinator's like Kirby or Pruitt would light into the defense if effort was lacking. I never see Golding chewing our defense out during the game. He's just chopping his hands left, right, up & down.
BoB's up hiding in the pressbox with his ignorance.
Love an OC like Kiffin, on the sidelines, near his offense.

If Nick is so hell bent on keeping Pete employed then make Pete a fricking sales manager at one of the car dealerships.
