Davis Mills showed some promise. And to be fair, Goff isn’t the worst QB in the NFL.

Mills was easily the 2nd best rookie QB last year behind Mac. Despite playing with just as a shitty supporting cast as the golden boy Trevor Lawrence. They have Cooks who’s their no.1 WR and I think Metchie thrives best as a no.2 target.
So honestly not a bad spot for Metchie given Mills continues to improve.

I agree that getting drafted by the lions is not ideal but I actually like that Jameson will have a QB with a big arm throwing him the ball. He can really help them.

Texans aren’t great but they’re a far more competent operation than many other NFL teams. They’ve finished with a winning record in 7 of the last ten years. They bottomed out hard, as they have before, but they’re a lot more likely to climb up into competence than teams like the Jags, Lions, Jets. Besides, it’s not like their failures are out of sheer incompetence. Their owner got duped by a weird new age preacher person, and their star QB turned out to be maybe a rapist. If Watson kept developing and they hired a normal GM they’d probably still be a playoff team.

Based on the first 3 rounds, it looks like Georgia will have to replace their entire defense. 7 defensive players drafted so far.
