There are several really good ones that actually have offensive minds that could run with our talent and system. NO NFL GUYS.

Mike LaFleur may be looking for a job. If Bama could pull him from the NFL with a Shanahan pedigree, it would be a homerun

Saban was an NFL coach after all. The college ranks have changed with NIL. I don't think it would be an awful idea to bring in young NFL talent (willing to leave the NFL is the catch) used to dealing with athletes already making millions.

Brian Daboll was an NFL hire and he had a damn good offense with a capable passer

What makes you think that? I don't think the Packers are looking to let him go, they're probably looking for coordinator replacements

Would be very shocked if they let him go

My fingers typing faster than my brain. I meant Mike, although that isn't likely either.

Point being, if the opportunity presents itself to pull a young NFL coach with good pedigree and upward momentum over for a couple of years, it's not a bad thing.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater over BoB. Daboll, Kiffin, and Sark all were NFL guys, too.

I've never seen a instance where our coordinator situation was in the dark as much as it is now. I'm praying that's a good thing and we're doing our due diligence

Wazzu just hired a 27 year old from WKU as their new OC after WKU was #6 in offense. I know we may get a “boring” hire like Mullen, but I’d love if we got a little creative with it. We have a McClaren in terms of talent and our current OC is a Ford Focus.

I think the appropriate metaphor is our offensive talent is like a McClaren but our OC is like an 84 year-old grandma who can barely see.
