MSU tickets available on the MSU website if interested

I just ordered a pair of tickets on the site. Fairly reasonably priced.

I have to admit I have a bit of a soft spot for the Bullies. My son went there for a year (ended up on academic probation and had to leave, too much fun in Stark Vegas for him) and I was astonished at how freakishly nice people were there. So nice that my reaction was, "Are you messing with me?"
So, other than when they play Bama, I usually pull for MSU.

Mannnn, you and I have had different experiences with MSU fans. Their inferiority complex makes them a bit too much of a pain in the arse at games in Starkville. Probably doesn’t help that I went to high school near there.
FSU was the closest I’ve ever come to scrapping at a game but MSU is a pretty distant second with no other places I’ve been to even registering(including UT and LSU).

Depends on when his son went. There was a time when Starkville was such a bullshite college town. There was pretty much just Rick’s and then you could drive out to West Point and go to the Pony if you wanted a 3/10 stripper.
At some point around maybe 2012 or so that started building up the cotton district and a few more areas and now it’s a pretty decent small town college party scene. There’s better places to go to party but there’s also a lot worse and that wasn’t true 20 years ago.

He went 2010-2011. Seemed like there were always a party to go to somewhere (according to him). When he showed up with his grades and informed us he was on academic probation, I outright asked him, "Son, do you even want to go to college?" He said, "Dad, I love college. I just don't like going to class and studying and I love beer more.." 
We always told him we'd pay for him to go to school but if he ended up on academic probation, we were done paying. So, he joined the Air Force, really got his crap together and has less than 4 more years before he can retire.

I believe you but in a non athletic environment, people there really were freakishly nice to us at least at the time. Who knows what to expect on 10-3 other than a LOT of cow bell.

No doubt. They are decent folks on non game days. But yeah a lifetime of losing has those folks ready to lose their minds during game days. It’s true of a lot of passionate perennial loser programs. They don’t know how to win or lose close with class so they show their arse after a couple of adult beverages.
