I don’t think a current Bama alumni team would win a game in a 16 game season

That team would be pretty good. OL wouldn’t be great, but a decent enough unit. McCarron wouldn’t be a game changer, but with those weapons he’d do fine and we’d have a good run game. Defense looks really good.

Naw, a Saban alumni team might make the playoffs if they had a great coaching staff. That's a load of "NFL" players, many of them very good. Hell, you'd even have a serviceable QB room with Wilson and McElroy as backups. Same goes at TE with Peek and Dial. The 2nd team Oline would be a great depth group. (Tua's too early to include with the QBs.)

That's a universe away from the discussion of whether an elite one-year iteration of a Bama team could beat the worst team in the NFL. I think they could. Most disagree and dismiss the notion.

The correct answer for best Center on a Saban coached Bama is Antoine Caldwell, and it's not even close. Barrett Jones is probably second.

Oh, how we're so quick to forget...

Na I liked Bozeman's run blocking the best, Caldwell was awesome I haven't forgotten about him and the last of the Shula's

I think Bozeman, Kelly, and Vlachos are all very good, but in a group together and below both Caldwell and Jones.

Ironically, it goes back to saying can Alabama win without a kicker?
