Aaron Murray and Chris Childers "
Alabama could take Buffalo Bills"

quote:

“Go watch Alabama. That is a team with NFL guys all over it — they are an NFL franchise,” Childers said. “That’s the way they’re run, it’s the way they play. It’s the talent level they have.”

“I would say Alabama vs. the Buffalo Bills tomorrow — that’s a single-digit score difference there,” Murray added.

“I’d take Bama,” Childers says.

“I would too,” Murray concludes.

Although I may actually agree with them this time... Tua just might be the final piece of the puzzle to make this statement True

The Bills were a playoff team a season ago. I don’t care if they’re 3-13 this fall. They’d kill Alabama. This argument is stupid every year.

The Vegas line would be interesting... certainly think we would score a few points.

I don’t think a current Bama alumni team would win a game in a 16 game season. The defense would be a beast but oline play would be abysmal

I was thinking along this line when I opened the thread. How would an all Bama NFL team do? We'd have some skill players and a defense, but no depth or offense line.

Games are won and lost in the trenches, as such these broadcasters are idiots who only look at skill players.

Now, might could do well in some 7 on 7's.

I agree, because the Bills have Daboll as OC.

We couldn't beat the Bills but their QB might just keep us in the game for longer than you'd think.

Bills o-line is beyond bad. They won't win a game.

College all stars played the NFL champs, presumably the best team in the NFL in any given year, for about 40 years.... until 1976.. the college All Stars won about 25% of the time (9-31-2)

I disagree. I think Alabama could play with the worst team in the NFL some years. Why? Those teams are bad not solely because their talent is inferior to the rest of the NFL. Those teams are bad because they have bad players, bad coaches, bad schemes, infighting in the locker room, and a host of other issues. And football remains a team sport.

There's no reason to assume that if the worst team in the NFL lined up to play Bama, that they'd suddenly fix their myriad of issues and communicate better, improve their scheme, and fix their coaching issues, etc.

Do you remember when the Raiders hired a guy about a decade ago to be their OC who had been running a Bed and Breakfast for the 2 years prior? These are the things that plague the worst team in the NFL in any given year, and I think we could take a team that is that dysfunctional.

If a great FCS team can beat a bad P5 team, I see no reason why the same doesn't apply to a league above.

Childers is a quality radio guy. He said this with no seriousness.

That settles it. The Bills should have kept AJ.

I mean Josh Allen is terrible and nothing to worry about, and they don’t really have good receivers, but their NFL OL with Shady McCoy would run through us like shite through a tin horn. And their NFL DL would man handle our college OL.

Hypothetically, if you were betting this game. What would the line have to be, before you would take Alabama and the points...Bills -25?.... I think Vegas would put it at Bill's
- 17 or so. Public might bet it down to Bills -13
