Did Milroe call the plays?

How many times did Texas run quick screens on the perimeter? Probably 10?

How many times did Bama? 0

So now you are saying there was a 3rd "biggest problem" too?

Did we watch the same game? Like honestly, how can you watch that and think the majority of the time it was even close to a clean pocket?

Not sure if we did, I wasn’t in denial during the game so not really sure, but…News flash, Milroe isn’t a pocket passer, his speed should have allowed him to thrive against that D when the pocket would break down, but he can’t even read that. He seemed to be trying to show he’s capable of being a passing QB and ended up proving his critics right. He couldn’t move in the pocket, he was paralyzed. Go back and look at the INTs. He had plenty of time. You can’t hold the ball forever.

TiderNAL said it was both, meaning both the QB and the OLine..you said “You are completely right”…COMPLETELY RIGHT…it was simple reading comprehension really.

BOTH can be problems and are problems.

I said Milroe is not the biggest problem and the OL is.

This is why I dont post on here, because reading comprehension is difficult for too many posters like you.

ENglish language is not always an exact science but qualifiers like "Completely" do tend to make it more exact.

Reading comprehension becomes much more difficult when the writer uses exacting qualifiers but thinks they have no meaning.

I think Milroe was confused that the Corner sat in the flats instead of sinking with the vertical

This is the worst possible excuse for that first INT. It is literally a junior high level read. The fact the he threw th ball assuming it would be open is beyond troubling. The second one was the exact same issue. The multiple missed passes costing touchdowns made it even worse.
Ole Miss line was dog shot, but the QB can get the ball out. Milroe is absolutely the biggest issue.

The o-line is pathetic. They are part of the problem. Along with a guy that is not a SEC caliber QB.

The o-line not being great in the second game of the season is not a new thing. We go through this every year, even when we have had some good O-lines. It takes a few weeks for them to gel. To be fair though, we also trot dalcourt out to start somewhere every year and he continues to be arse. I understand that Milroe didnt have the best conditions in the game, but he was a level of bad that we havent seen since likely pre-Saban days. He was out there missing middle school throws. That wheel route to Jase was uncovered for a touchdown and he couldnt throw the ball 12 freaking yards. TWELVE!

You're teaching that to 6-8th grade QB's and they can consistently read that? That's impressive.

It was a bad ball. I didnt even notice till I rewatched it that Seth snapped it to his ankles again on that one, but he still has to make that throw.

I think this is more the point. Whether it was Milroe, Buchner, or Simpson no one has a chance against a good defense with that OL.

This is what happens when you don't have a short or intermediate pass game. And an especially big problem when you have a QB that can't read pressure and hit a hot read.

Now, the times that they got pressure with 3 and 4 defenders; inexcusable. But Milroe compounded the issues by factor of 10.

My brothers son just turned 8. I kind of think he has a touch of OCD or Aspergers. Anyways, he plays QB and I went to a practice a few weeks ago where they let him call the plays. He had my brother teach him the read option, and called it every play in his little scrimmage they had set up. I would say that above an 80% clip he made exactly the right decision. The following week they played and he went 13-18 136 yards passing and threw for 3 touchdowns. I said that to say this; in one summer he dedicated all of his off time into throwing the ball well and making good decisions. He is 8 and can read a defense well enough to not make crucial mistakes. Milroe is a grown man at this point and stares down one guy and throws the ball to the closest defender to him. He is still only good at throwing the deep ball and that hasn't changed really at all in his time in T-town.

Sounds like he needs to transfer to play with Baby Gronk. They would be unstoppable together.

pocket presence, vision, short pass accuracy, quick decision making is what Milroe is lacking.

The new kid Dylan has better pocket presence

It's a damn shame one of our coaches didn't see his numerous deficiencies in the off season. WTH have the coaches been watching?

He wouldn't be able to stand him. He is a very very quite kid. Very no BS and win at all cost. After his game last week, my brother took him and his brothers to BDS. He doesn't waste words, so when he speaks the others, even the older brothers listen. He looked at my 16 year old nephew and said, " I will play QB here one day". He is a scary kid, with a competitiveness I have never seen. He has also already won 2 state championships in wrestling and wrestled for team TN in nationals twice. He is a stud.
