Exactly. And Kiffin is not going to last five years there. I have a feeling it's going to get really ugly because Lane demonstrated he can't handle personal attacks after a beat reporter called him a "ho". That's Romper Room compared to what LSU fans are going to do when he loses to some shite team like Arkansas which he's notorious for doing.

FWIW, Thamel just said on McAfee's show that nobody has indicated to him that KDB would be interested in the Michigan job (at about the 1:01 mark):

I will assume they will interview candidates at that pizza parlor in Ohio where they hired Rich Rod. (without asking West Virginia for a meeting).

Go Blue like the state of Michigan is a shithole. If they were a stock, then buy them for true value and sell for what they believe they're worth. Profit.

Ward Manuel is definitely gone, they are just trying to not throw gasoline on this dumpster fire yet.
For those saying Minter, I highly doubt he will be a serious candidate as he has a show cause until April because of his role in the Stallions cheating scandal if I’m not mistaken.

ETA: Jedd Fisch has pulled ahead of KDB on the prediction markets today. It’s still a weak position as Fisch is at 27% and DeBoer is at 24% so there’s no strong favorites yet but last night the positions were reversed so there’s that.

We’re not going to get rid of Kalen that easy, folks. He may frick around and win big next year in Tuscaloosa.

The fired Coach just might have a few things to say about his past years with Go Blue. Very dangerous time for UM.

The Seattle coach would be good for them if he wants out after playoffs.

If Scarbinsky says DeBoer isn’t going, I’ve got to consider taking a HELOC out to bet on DeBoer being Michigan’s next head coach.

DeBoer has already messed around and won big. He’s done what it took Satk years to do. He’s done what Sark has never done. And he’s done what Kiffin never did. Guy’s in the college football playoffs in his second year.

We would be cosmically stupid not to do all we can to hang onto our coach.

I'm hoping for Fisch to Michigan and Grubb to Washington

It only makes sense for DeBoer to leave here if his family hates it in Tuscaloosa or he doesn't think the program has the tool to win a championship in the modern era. I don't think the latter is true, so it'd probably come down to the first one.

“It only makes sense for DeBoer to leave here if his family hates it in Tuscaloosa.”

I’ve had insider information only one time in my life. And it was the ultimate of insiders and that’s been over 30 years ago. But I did happen upon one piece of information back last summer from a relative of the ultimate insider I once had. Deboer‘s family loves Tuscaloosa. Wherever you are hearing that has no idea what they are talking about.

If anyone is adept at having interim coaches it should be Michigan. Harbaugh was suspended for multiple games. Then Moore was last year. Poggi is on staff and could hold down the fort.

Only downside is you are going to get ravaged in the portal and be very far behind in recruiting the next cycle. You’d almost need Minter to put his whole staff together ahead of him.
