I know it’s a “joke”, but this shite is so ridiculous. Laughing to the bank.

I feel bad for the kid. He was put in a really hard position. He clearly likes UA but also has the option to make seven figures. I'm glad we were able to work it out so that he can stay.

He's really showing his youth in this one. We really need some better veteran leadership. Somebody needs to be able to show these guys this isn't the way. Super proud of everyone opting in to the bowl game though.

The kid was offered a million dollars.

He's not the one with the problem

It just comes off as arrogant to me, and where is the 7 figures thing coming from? Is that true? Or was this just a ploy to get a guarantee that he can play Travis Hunter-lite next season?

Yup. I mean I'd kinda understand if he had any performance. But he ain't done shite on the field yet.

So he probably should GTFO with that crap.

Prove it on the field as a player or move on.

So what if it is? The rules (rules he didn't make) are set up in such a way that allow him to negotiate what he believes is the best deal for himself. He's a professional football player. He's doing what professionals do.

The "retards" in this case being....supremely talented, highly skilled athletes that are valued in the millions in their profession.

But a bunch of poor hayseeds from Alabama think they're being 'uppity' simply for taking care of themselves and their families like anybody else would in their situation so we gotta hear them whimper about it in every thread now.

Par for the course.

If by "retards" you mean the power brokers, lawyers, judges or whoever else put this shite in place. Then yes, the retards are running the nut house.

The players are doing what the "retards" allow them to do. They're the smart ones in all this.

The main point of this thread is the TikTok and it showing him being arrogant. I’m not saying the players can’t use the new rules to their advantage, but they can also use the rules in ways that turn fans off. Nothing wrong with criticizing them since YES they are professionals now.

I mean, there were people melting down and lashing out when it was apparent that he was leaving, and then when it was apparent that he wasn't leaving, people celebrated. We put these kids on pedestals.

Fine and good, provided that if and when he messes up we don't read any "he's just a kid doing his best for the team " Professional football player gets held to professional standards.

This is what kids do man. They goof around on social media.

Some are turned off, some aren't. Usually though, the ones who are turned off are old men who yell at clouds.
