Does Kirby hold some responsibility for this Mo Smith decision? Has he been working behind the scenes to get Smith and making a bigger mess of the situation?

So he quits the team to transfer and still expects to be able to use the facilities and locker room as he pleases? Seriously?? He was probably told to clean out his locker so it could be given to another player and when he took his time getting around to it, they took care of it for him. I have no problem with it.

I think what bothers me the most is when we have idiots like at ESPN that report wrong information. Yesterday on CFB daily they talked about the rule in the SEC that says coaches can prevent players from transferring to another conference team a rule that does not exist within the conference but can be done via the NCAA current rules.

Also about how Kirby would allow it but yet Kirby in March stated he would no longer allow it and be as flexible as CMR was.

LINK

And for the record PF is by far one of the worse personalities in the industry. I would rather listen to the two idiots on CBS during our games than PF.

Off season click bait my friend. I mean, it's not like Saban knows anything about running a college football program or anything.

In case no one has heard this development....

Maurice Smith situation remains ‘fluid’ as player’s brother criticizes Saban

Seems little brother has gotten into this, threatening Nick Saban in recruiting.

Little Bro is a 2019 CB recruit LINK. I'm sure Alabama is upset by this.

Mama's now dragging the younger brother into this?

This family is a joke.

You have to find new angles in order to keep getting headlines.

What a load of crap

Also, it seems to me Kirby is stirring this pot a little too much as well. UGA obviously wants this kid. He knows Saban isn't going to flex on this.

Am I the only one who doesn't want a damn thing to do with his little brother or his family any longer?

Who wants a kid who's going to do all this crap the moment they don't get what they want? Only desperate teams, and I damn sure hope Alabama isn't it.

Besides, is the little brother trying to claim he was coming to Alabama and will still come as long as we do what he wants?

Screw that entire family is how I feel about it.

It's going to be a really depressing Labor Day for the Smith family, when they are all just sitting at home watching football on TV together.

Why? Why do you hold out this long only to cave? Unless Nick Told Sanke this was on him, you tell him no.

From a poster on BOL:

quote:

Most of you do not understand the complexities of this issue. For instance, did you know that Mo's family hired a law firm to take the University to court to gain his release? They were also going to seek compensation for their trouble.

I tend to think that this will be beneficial to Bama in the long run if it is permitted to continue. Just my opinion.

IF, that is the case and it is confirmed, I doubt he ever plays a snap for an NFL team and he and his family burned any bridges and good will from Bama alum. Hope his degree is something useful going forward.
