Down vote to the guy who posted about Humphrey taking a vehicle from ex-girlfriend... SMH.

it's all over 15 dollar charger. What a douche... Uber driver should be fired.

I do find the irony amusing that he is charged with stealing a charger. That's just too good.

Has anyone noticed the police report is from two weeks ago?

WTF! Idk who's worse, the shitstain uber driver or the Barney Fife syndrome police. Smdh!

Seems to me Marlon would've gladly given the cops the charger to give back to the dickhead.

Why make such a "federal case" out of such a minor thing?!?!

#frickingridiculous

Eta: After learning police report details, it appears Marlon's behavior was pretty stupid and that the police weren't overly harsh at the time of the incident. It appears the severity of the initial charges were escalated later.

This is fvckin embarrassing. Tuscaloosa needs to get it's shite together. Ex-players are just going to stop coming back.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Especially when its a guy like Marlon Humphrey who pretty much checks all the boxes for being a guy with the keys to the city...

NOTE: I'm not defending the player in this case, but this is clearly being overblown.

Sounds like he was drunk and took someone else's phone charger, probably needed to charge his phone and let his impairment allow him to do something stupid.

In a Uber, coming from the strip, took a cheap cable that did not fit his phone, and then wanted to fight about it.

I would bet enough money to buy all involved a lifetime supply of charger cables that he was drunk.

Also, if there was only the physical contact described here felony theft ain’t gonna stick.

Still an incredibly stupid move.

He was with someone else (name blacked out) & 2 females. Probably trying to impress the girls.

Like - I'm not saying Marlon wasn't wrong (he may have been), but every case like this appears like the TPD are trying their best to make it clear to EVERYONE that they are NOT playing favorites.

Ok, great, but at some point you guys need to show some reason and realize that the PR blowback for a NFL player over a FELONY ROBBERY charge is massive. Then, when it turns out it was literally a drunken argument over a $15 PHONE CHARGER.........you are going to look like real fvckin idiots. Tell the 2 to figure it out, take Marlon in and settle him down and give him a fine, give him some disorderly ticket, whatever. But Felony Robbery for a fvckin mistake over a $15 Phone Charger? There is zero reasonable explanation for that. Zero.

Fvckin ridiculous.
