He is so good under pressure at casually maneuvering himself into a spot to make a clean throw. I can't really think of a time this year when he took a legit hard shot from a defender he wasn't aware of. He has great intuition and total awareness of everything around him.

Before this season even started that was without a doubt what stood out the most about him. He has a sixth sense in the pocket and has no fear facing pressure.

Second best pocket awareness I have seen in a Bama uniform, behind Sims. He also clearly has a great understanding/relationship with his O-line which probably helps.

Anyone have a gif or link to his audible and pass to Metchie?

I thought Mac would be solid, but he’s been downright incredible.

Did Blake Sims stay in the pocket? Kiffin had him on the move.

its a combination of pocket awareness, and the touch and accuracy of his throws. The TD pass to the tight end included all of the above. Under duress, he threw a perfect
over the shoulder floater to the freshman TE.

Mac in his first year reminds me of AJ in his 3rd year. Just a mature kid with a good head on his shoulders.

I did not expect this type of season coming in. But I didn't understand the doubt about him either. Think about it, he scored 38 points on the road in his first significant start against one of the very best defenses in the country. I knew he was gonna be a very good qb after that

It is his 4th year in the system. I hope it sends the proper message to all the guys in our QB room for future consideration that this 4th year Mac Attack is nothing like the guy who came in with Tua.

He was quick to get out but the no-look-spin move to get away was like his signature move.
