I'd argue that Clemson's offense is capable of being as good as ours or LSUs. They have all of the right tools. They showed last year that they can turn it on pretty easily.

There were numerous games in 2018 where Clemson struggled against much more inferior defenses than 2018 Bama's, but when it mattered, they turned it on against us, and they were unstoppable. IDK, we'll see.

The difference between our offense and LSU's offense and Clemson's offense is we and LSU can bring in skill guy after skill guy after skill guy. Clemson can't do that. That's another reason I don't think Clemson will win. LSU was supposed to miss Edwards Helaire against Oklahoma and they put in two other RBs and didn't miss a beat.

Clemson is a good team but in this game I believe LSU's depth will be apparent.

I am not sure what Clemson's skill position depth looks like after Etienne, Higgins, and Ross, but those guys right there are as elite as anyone probably. I know that you are speaking on depth, but if hose guys are healthy throughout the game, then they really don't need a ton of depth at WR and RB to be really effective.

I mean, I guess, but it was Oklahoma...

A very high scoring game with LSU winning and probably covering. But I think betting the over is easy money, relatively speaking.

I expect it to look a bit like the LSU-Bama game from this year.

What'll matter is how hard LSU will have to fight the refs as well, as Clemson somehow always has the zebras and luck on their side.

I don't believe Clemson's DB can cover the LSU receivers. Clemson will need for the LSU QB to be off a little.

Right. And, they have one LBer that can play in space. I don't think that can cut it.

Especially at safety and like our first TD last year.
Lsu will try to go over the top right out the gate.
But I will say Clemson will zone blitz.
Or mix in zone blitz combos to protect there lack of top end speed at safety.
Clemson DC game planed well for TUA , but they dont have the same back end personnel this year.
But Brent may have something!

I think in this game Clemson has to maybe use more double TE formations 2wr formations,
a few Atiene screens mixed in is a must.
Bottom line is Clemson Wr 5 and especially Ross who was held down by OSU have to make some plays
Our opening drive were Tua fumble showed me LSU could be run on keeping it away from there offense.
That's there only chance.!They must score first as the dome is basically a LSU home game.
But with all that being said I think LSU speed against there safeties is just to much.
31-24 lsu !

I remember some years ago some publication was talking to NFL DBs about who was their toughest assignment. And, a few of them mentioned Steve Smith and they said it's because of his lack of size and speed that makes him difficult to cover. I know a lot of us have a hard on for big WRs but for technically sound DBs a big WR isn't the matchup issue many of us think it is. And, this is another reason why I do like the way we recruit WRs. This is also a reason why I believe the LSU secondary has an advantage tonight over Clemson's WRs.

I hope LSU wins. Sick of Dabo's whiney arse! And I don't want them claiming they are the dynasty.

I'm pulling for LSU. Even if they win, the one man who is the reason they're winning so big is going to the NFL and then LSU will return to being just another team and Orgeron will be exposed as the Cajun Gene Chizik.

If Clemson wins, it just hastens their rise to the top of college football.

We’re about to find out if Venables and Aranda are worth their salaries. Stops and takeaways determine the winner.
