Louisville WR Dez Fitzpatrick decided to talk some trash against the Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoon.

Well, bring it on...

Notes from UofL Media Day (a thread): @dezfitz8 on @AlabamaFTBL's secondary: "Every receiver in our receiver core can honestly beat every one of their DB's in 1on1 coverage"...

More from @dezfitz8: "When we watch film and other players play Bama, it's not like Bama's beating them. It's like they're beating themselves" because of the mystique of playing the Crimson Tide.

Too bad they don’t have a QB to get the ball there. We might not even need to put our starters out there.

Never heard of him, but if he's too stupid to spell the word corps, I'm not too worried about him.

Louisville is considered down this year because of losing 1) Lamar Jackson and 2) 7 players off last years' defense and their DC.

They only return 4 defensive players and have a new DC - Brian VanGorder. While I definitely think we should score at will on Louisville's defense, the other side of the ball is a different story. They have a guy they feel really good about, Jawon "Puma" Pass (6'4" 231lbs), who has nice touch on his throws. They also have a nice group of RBs, a WR corp ranked higher than Bama's by Phil Steele, and 4 returning starters on a veteran Oline.

Simply put, we should beat Louisville based on their lackluster D, but the notion that they won't put a really good offense on the field is asinine. Additionally, the strength of their team is the WR corp which will playing against the most inexperienced unit on our team, the DBs.

I'm all for optimism and all, but when Louisville's offense is on the field, we will be playing against a unit that can play with us. It's the other side where they'll get destroyed.

I didn't click the links. Because of the @'s, I assumed he was copying snippets from the kid's twitter.

That being said, if the Louisville sports reporter can't spell "corps", I'm not worried about him, either.

Well said. Ole Bobby always has his kids ready. LV does have one glaring weakness besides the Def and that’s depth. It’s non existent and has cost them recently.

Didn't that OLine get demolished last season by any DLine with a pulse?
