Obviously losing to Texas sucks and I hate it. However,

Since Texas isn’t in the SEC this game means almost nothing.

If we make a switch at QB, clean up the OL some we can win out.

Not saying we can win past the basic season but could turn things around for a nice finish.

Forget Deer Antler Spray. I need to go get Coach some gas station dick pills to amp that testosterone up.

We always worried about making the other teams asses quit. We need some folks on our team to quit.

Doesn't seem likely after what we saw last night but there is still a chance that we get our shite together and win the SEC with one loss.

We will be in the SEC championship game IF we change our QB.

Very simple!!

Every year we hear the same thing. We are going to get things fixed. Same problems year after year now. This isn’t being fixed in season. Our program needs major overhauling.

We need to change QB for that scenario to play out. If not I can see us losing to AM and UT. Maybe even LSU.

This team lacks basic discipline and toughness. Not to mention the actual X’s and O’s problems. I don’t see how they avoid losing at least two more games.

This is glaring and this falls 100% on the head coach. No one else. Especially, after you have brand new coaches. The intensity is gone. CNS' intensity has slowly been going down over the past five years. I mean he is even apologizing to reporters.

This year should be considered a "reload" year, IMO. I think accepting bumps here and there this year makes sense. Last year should have never happened with the talent that we had. We should have won the Natl Champ. Also, I am worried that our leadership/culture is starting to deteriorate.

Saban’s intensity has come down, but the team’s intensity was absolutely fine yesterday. Division 3 high school level QB play sucked the air out of the room. Get a guy who can make quick reads on blitzes and knows how to attack man vs. zone and this team is NC caliber. JM gave Texas at least 10 points, and cost us at least 14. That’s a 24 point swing in a 10 point game.

That's fine but the team's intensity isn't going to help when they are under coached and not held accountable. Saban/Alabama is coasting on talent at this point.

Shitty coaching hires and a lack of intensity isn't what you want from your coach when he is the CEO of the whole damn program.

Yup. Perhaps the worst thing Milroe did last night was suck all of the energy out of the stadium. Everyone was so hyped. The stadium was rocking. Milroe was so bad, he made the fans depressed.

Horrible horrible game, but a QB switch will make a world of difference

Rees called a good game. He can’t help his QB can’t read a defense.

Let’s not throw Steele or even Rees under the bus for JM’s ineptitude yesterday (unless Rees thought we should stick with Milroe, and based on his body language in the booth…I’m pretty sure that was ALL SABAN). Rees is fine and Steele needs an opportunity to show he can get it done when the offense isn’t giving the ball to the other team on their half of the field. Worried about DL though

Then you'd think someone with balls would step up and say he probably shouldn't be a starter.

Listen, I hope for all the success in the world for him. He seems to be a great kid. I was hard on Jalen Hurts because with him as a QB we were one dimensional in the big games. At least he could get the ball in the general vicinity of our WRs.

Milroe throws the ball to defenders. Our WRs were five-ten yards away on some of his INTs. When our WRs caught the ball they were passes in really bad locations.

You can't teach vision.

JM sucks but our OL was brutally bad too. They played two deep and rushed 3-4 every play and whipped our arse.

Also what the hell is up with us not being able to pressure the QB? Did we even touch Ewers last night? Maybe once?

He literally cannot read a defense. Every time he dropped back, he had no idea what to do, and it was obvious.

Even Kirk Herbstreit mentioned that he throws a nice deep ball because he doesn't have to think about anything.
"Give him something simple so he doesn't have to read much". Milroe is a third year QB and we're talking about having to dumb down the offense for him?

We can say that Saban should've switched QBs at halftime, but the real question is why on Earth Milroe was even out there to begin with.
These coaches are out there every single day with the players, and none of them noticed that Milroe can't read a defense to save his life?

I just don't get it

To be honest and objective.... my thoughts.

- In general, poor leadership/accountability.
- Saban is starting to fail in his coaching role but still has a decent grasp on being "CEO". If he wants to bitch at the fans for leaving then he needs to start hearing the criticism and shutting the frick up and taking it.
- Milroe has zero vision and because of that he will never be a good passer. We need to move on. Jalen Hurts was just inconsistent which hurt us in big games where we needed to be balanced.
- McLaughlin got abused in the middle and played scared.
- Proctor is a Freshman. Expect bumps especially two games in.
- New OC expect bumps in the first few games.

I do anticipate that we will improve as the season progresses.

ETA: McLaughlin playing poorly in the middle forces JM to run outside the pocket. You mix that with freshman LT and JM has the tendency to run outside the pocket. The OL is going to look like shite every time. Milroe didn't help the OL, at all.

He can jump and scream Milroe needs to be taken out all he wants, that doesn’t mean Saban will listen to him. Look at Daboll and Hurts. Daboll wanted Tua but Saban refused to pull Jalen. I agree, Milroe is not a QB but that’s not Rees’ fault.
