It's embarrassing and we deserve all shite given to us about it.

The FCS games have got to go.

We can get other cupcake games that are less embarrassing.

Playing FCS schools should only be a last resort when you are desperately trying to get to 6 wins for bowl eligibility. That ain't us. We should be able to find plenty of FBS cupcakes all the same and they aren't a threat to beat us regardless.

As for our marquee non-conference games, I'm over the annual neutral site stuff. It's a good thing to do occasionally, but every year? It gets tiresome. We need to schedule some decent home & away series like we did with Penn State in 10/11 or before that Oklahoma in 02/03.

When the university sees a drop in season ticket purchases, then they’ll start listening to us. But until then, they dgaf about what we think

The thing is, all the season tickets will be purchased every year regardless. What concerns me is the # of tickets that go unused and the # of people who come and stay for a half. I stay to the end of every game, but I can forgive almost anyone for leaving at halftime of a game vs. the Citadel when it's 49-0 and the starters have been pulled.

I dropped my season tickets about 4 years ago. I couldn’t justify the investment to see a couple of good conference games each year. The rest were shite, the neutral site game and the postseason were always extra money so what was the point? I couldn’t even get my money back on Vanderbilt tickets, much less Mercer.
Alabama has really lost its way in this item. We need home and homes with good opponents and our cupcakes should be G5 weak sisters. No excuses, no regrets, just make it happen. Every other athletic department in the country manages to do it so why can’t we. Everyone except CNS is sick of the neutral site opener bullshite and we’ve played just about everyone worth playing.

That doesn't mean they'll schlep down to Orlando to do it.

Perhaps, but if Ohio State had replaced Oklahoma with Boston College and their OOC schedule was BC, Army and UNLV and they had that 31 pt loss to Iowa on the schedule.........I'm not sure the discussion is any different.
it is very different.

1 loss teams are being compared at that point, and one is the conference champion.

Hard to keep overrated state out then

You're completely right about season tickets being terrible value. I have them because I'm a huge fan of the team so I'm very emotionally invested.

From a pure dollars/value standpoint season tickets are absolutely terrible. You'd be far better off just buying tickets off the secondary market to the 2-3 games that are worth a damn.

The neutral site game robs us of a great home game every other year. We get 7 home games a year and at least 3 of them are absolute trash. Of the 4 conference games you typically get 2, perhaps 3, quality match ups that you actually want to attend.

I wouldn't say they're a terrible value in total. I couldn't go to any this year and had to sell all of them. Within $50, I got back what I paid (Stubhub). But I have 3, and sets of 3 usually command a higher price. If I'd only had two, I'd have lost money...so yeah, maybe a pair isn't good value. I only got $30 each for the Arkansas tickets. Every SEC game went for $50-$100 less than two years before...including UT and LSU.

A lot of conversation from OSU fans since losing to OU this year is the opposite, and they want OSU to get easier games.

It was the hardest schedule I've ever seen for Ohio State, which means it was still pretty easy.

I don't even want GOOD teams, I just want teams with actual names, like give me bottom tier P5 teams. Let's play Illinois, Colorado, Baylor, Pittsburgh or Oregon State.

I'm willing to bet Scott Frost and Bill Moos would jump on the opportunity to schedule a home and home with us.
