These two will have to say no before anybody else is even thought about.

Lanning was gifted with talent at Oregon and he hasn't really done anything that's catching.

Sark and Lane both have built teams and they've learned from the GOAT especially Lane Kiffin. He's done a complete 180 so my first call would be to Kiffin or Sark!

Dark horse name to watch if he wants to go the college route... Mike Vrabell

I don't know!

I just said he would be one of the two I would call first.

I am also on the Kiffin train. He knows the system, he brought OM their first 10 (2x) and 11 win seasons

It's an easy hire

He owes his life and career to Saban.

Other than that, maybe we’re willing to throw more money at him.

Not saying Texas CANT!

Just saying they may say FU we’re not paying $13M

Not true. Reverend Hugh Osteen won 10 games at Ole Miss in 2015.

Kiffin is 3-20 in his career against "Power Five" opponents finishing with more than eight wins.

I’d want Lanning and then Kiffin. Sark is not an option.

I think our shot at Sark would be the meddling money coffers at Texas. He is winning and doing well, so I don't think they are messing with him too much, but that would be our only shot to land him. Boosters that think they know more than the coach.

Lanning has a 20 million dollar buyout. He would be expensive.

I'm assuming you're not giving me a fair comparison by including USC and Tennessee

2020 (1st year) 1-2

35-51 Florida (8-4)
48-63 Alabama (13-0)
26-20 Indiana (6-2, but ill include it since they're .750 & #11 due to the COVID issue)

2021 2-2

21-42 Alabama (13-2)
52-51 Arkansas (9-3)
29-19 A&M (8-4)
21-7 Baylor (12-2)

2022 0-4

20-45 LSU (10-4)
24-30 Alabama (12-2)
22-24 MSU (9-4)
25-42 Tech (9-4)

2023 2-2

Alabama 10-24 (12-2)
LSU 55-49 (10-3)
Georgia 17-52 (13-1)
PSU 38-25 (10-3)

Outside of 2022, he's been pretty solid with some of the bottom tier SEC resources. If he gives us a floor of 10-11 wins with the occasional deep playoff run, i'm fine with it. He's also way more experienced than Lanning with his six or seven non-GA years.

If you want "safe", I think you have to pull Dabo.

People gone sit up here and act as if Lane Kiffin has ALABAMA RESOURCES?

He's done more with LESS at Ole Miss.

Kiffin was hired at USC after Carrol left. How’d that turn out? Seems like he was left on a tarmac or something.

Their Dynasty ended with Kiffin

recruiting classes, Turned BoNix around.

But mostly that he was here with Saban and at UGA with Kirby, and he's 37 years old. If it works out, you could have a great coach for decades, which is what UGA is probably going to have.
