That's fine and all, but if we're scared to throw a slant or the TE pop pass that always works, then we could have some issues.

we ran it like 50 times and only threw 14 times the whole game
A LOT of our runs were pass plays that turned into run plays because Jalen wouldn't throw the ball, or had no one to throw it to. Those plays kept the offense off schedule all night. Thats on Kiffin.
The big problem with Kiffin is his putting our offense in situations where we are not on schedule relative to the down and distance too often.
Its always 2nd and 12, 3rd and 15... He refuses to take three and five yard runs early to set up a manageable situation for our struggling QB on third down.
Kiffin has to realize that when the other team is as talented as we are we have to keep the offense on schedule. That means no more cute shite. That means if you can run for three or four yards at a time you take it, and look for your spots to take a shot.
Jalen needs to be under center much more often. Too much shotgun.
If we had a gunslinger at QB then maybe we could play Kiffs brand of football, but we dont. Sims and Coker both were redshirt Sr's I think ? Yeah, Hurts is 18 yo.

We weren't scared we just didn't do it because we didn't need too. He said it plain as day.

Hurts definitely froze up last night. You could tell he had been beat over the head about not making a mistake and turning it over. That's good, I get that. But when you do it the point where he's afraid to throw it downfield, it becomes a problem. Why didn't Kiffin give him some easy completions to loosen him up and talk to him and tell him to relax and play. Our offensive staff failed miserably last night from the constant mistakes, the missed blocks, the unfathomable play calling to just not settling everybody down. Burton Burns is the only one who earned his check.

I completely agree with that.

Lane also said that UW's defense looked like the Seattle Seahawks.

We needed to do anything we could to move the ball, man. We were awful on offense yesterday. I don't care what Kiffin's excuses were.

We actually got away with illegal formation before it was called. I saw once or twice we had receivers covered up prior to the penalty.

I'm getting the feeling that Kiffin checked out mentally about 2 months ago and is half-assing his job. He's doing it well enough to get away with it, but it's not his best work. With a little effort, we could have destroyed those guys last night. You can be vanilla without looking sloppy and unprepared. We were all three. He'd better come up with a masterpiece for Monday night because we're gonna need it.

To be fair to Lane, being loose and sloppy after an extended layoff is not a unique phenomenon. Those things I think were more indicative of the time between games than an indictment on Lane.

I am not a kiffin fan. When bo ran for about 20 yards in two plays then we abandoned that and preceded to lose about 20 yards in busted pass plays I became less of a fan

This should be bumped. Didn't buy it then.
