Saban and my coach handled losses much the same way... In Public.

Take the sting of the loss on himself and not unload on the players.

Now, in private / on the practice field / in meetings, that is where the fire from Coach Bryant burned anyone close to the flame.

Maybe but he could also see Simpson still on the bench and start to question QB development considering Milroe has been in the program for 3 years and this is what you get with another top signee still riding the pine.

Or he could look at our previous 4 QBs starting on Sunday and think that Bama is probably the best path to the league.

Just watched Saban's press conference today and he called out the defensive pass rush but not the offense. The defense broke down bad towards the end of the game but maybe the poor offensive play had something to do with that?

2 TDs a game and 3 yards per rush is not gonna cut it coach

50% completion percentage and 2 interceptions from the QB aren't gonna win any games either

Yeah that’s why these things can’t be fixed not now anyway. I think a change is the only way to move forward.

Why is this the case? Why doesnt Saban replace every single player on the field that made a mistake? I'm trying to understand why the consensus is to bench Milroe but not ANYONE else.

Look I don’t wish any ill will on anyone…but can Sparty hurry up and fire Tucker already? I mean what he did was egregious and terrible awful failure and a fireable offense.

I also am a huge proponent of second chances and redemption.

Sounds like the perfect guy to attend the Nick Saban school of rehabilitation class of 2023.

It did but unfortunately we didn't attempt to try another guy.

I didn’t say that.

Up front we need to rearrange the OL

Change the QB

That’s immediately.

The rest I don’t know what they will do.

But it’s not just mistakes, let’s make sure this is clear. I don’t think Milroe can read a defense and set coverage. Buchner can, I’ve physically seen it, and them side by side. If Milroe is the guy we need to run the shite out of him and super simplify the pass game to a lower level. Like high school slant or go route pick one and throw early.

Some of you don't know how to read coach Saban.

Saban knows the problems with the offense. He knows that Milroe isn't the guy. This is why he's not gonna talk about it. He doesn't like piling on, and doesn't like singling out any player in public.

Also, he's a defensive guy. In his mind, if the offense scores 10 points, we should be able to win if the defense plays well enough. He's always gonna think that way

I agree 100 percent.

Me and you was afraid that JM would continue to stare down receivers.

I was at that game. 5 turnovers. When you fumble a kickoff it's just not your day. That was a weird game. Lotta flukey stuff. If Bama played that game again the next week and Coker starts the whole thing Bama wins by 14+.

This was different. Bama was whipped on both sides of the ball. If Bama played Texas again it would probably be a 21+ loss. Sark really had it dialed in during the 2nd half.

If we don't have 2 TD's called back and Milroe manages to hit the three easy passes for TD's that he missed we win by nearly 35.

Interceptions and penalties killed that game. Even with Milroe performing terrible, if the interceptions don't happen, we likely win that game. Hell, we were ahead when the 4th quarter started. The game was well within reach even after all the mistakes.

Part of Sark being dialed in was us giving them the ball on the 5 after an Int.

Could say the same for Texas. They literally dropped at least 2 TD passes. Then the two interceptions that went through their hands.

That's completely unfair to our wide receivers, who actually played their arse off Saturday. Imagine all but one of them knowing they have zero percent chance of getting the ball before the snap.
