Simultaneously being retarded and an a-hole will hurt your draft stock for sure.

I wish Milroe well in the draft.
It'd be fun to see Ty get a legitimate shot in the bowl game so the staff can see if he's a legitimate candidate to start in 25.

Damn. That's brutal and offensive language.

If Ty puts on a clinic in the bowl game, I'm going to question the sanity of both Saban and Deboer.

Unless Milroe comes back for another year

All signs point to him preparing for the NFL, I would be shocked if he comes back next year

If he does that, I’ll venture to say that the majority of the offense will transfer and we will probably see two or three quarterbacks leave. So, that would be a doomsday scenario if it were to happen.

We probably will never know conclusively why they didn’t think he could do the job but I would sure like to know. Because you can’t put this all on DeBoer.
Posted on 11/29/24 at 3:02 pm to InkStainedWretch
No you cannot. Saban totally mismanaged the situation last year and left the mess for DeBoer to clean up. He was forced to work with Jalen because he helped keep the roster intact when Saban retired.

I understand that. But at some point unless he’s a total moron or wuss which I don’t think he is, it’s got to register with DeBoer that any debt is repaid and he doesn’t need to risk his gig by clinging to this guy who’s slitting the team’s throat because he’s absolutely topped out as to what he can do.

I felt like Jalen should been benched against Tennessee. Also, remember that he struggled against Missouri for a half until we were able to get a comfortable lead. With a better quarterback Alabama beats them 45-0. All of his damage this year came against a bad Wisconsin team, the first half of Georgia and LSU.

I had hope that he’d finally gotten on track against LSU and we’d have a good closing kick heading into the playoffs but as far as this one particular fan right here, he lost me irrevocably last Saturday. He was clue free in that game.
And I’ve said I am giving DeBoer a pass this year because I don’t think he was handed the keys to a Lamborghini, I think Saban left him talent but also a mess to clean up, but he and, especially, his coordinators lost points with me last Saturday because I think they thought this game was a gimme and somehow it’s got to be burned into their brains if not their souls that there are no gimmes, ever, in the SEC.
I rarely listen to Finebaum anymore but I had him on the radio in the car coming back from the grocery store a while ago and one of his guests, didn’t catch his name, said basically the same thing, that our coaches and players seemed to think they had this in the bag because we have more talent, but that Okie isn’t THAT bad, especially on defense, and Venables got them ready and up and they came out and dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage for four quarters and beat our arse, which is going to happen in the SEC, especially on the road, if you expect a gimme and aren’t ready to do business.

Jalen only threw a pass of over ten yards three times against LSU. He missed Ryan and Henderson deep on passes that would’ve blown the game wide open. Thankfully, LSU has a horrible run defense. But, at the same time, it masked a lot of the other issues that #4 has. He let that performance go to his head and shite the bed against Oklahoma.

If he came back, who would pay him? Would the collective pay a quarterback as bad as Jalen Milroe to return for another season?
Posted on 11/29/24 at 4:52 pm to Pandy Fackler
The entities that fund the collective are looking for benefits for themselves as well as for Bama. Damaged brands tend not to provide benefits. No. 4 is a damaged brand.

This concerns me significantly more than anything to do with Milroe. Milroe is almost certainly gone after this season. The staff, not so much. They just don't seem to get it. Literally the only SEC road game that is comparable to going to Stanford, Cal, UCLA, etc. is Vandy, which they fricked up royally, but still didn't get the memo apparently.
