I could see Jalen being the type of guy to decide to medically retire and not look back. Blood clot issues in a contact sport is scary. He has accomplished a lot and I don’t see him being an attention hungry athlete. I see him moving back to Texas with a big ‘ol ranch and out of the public’s eye.

That’s what Chris Bosh did. He won two rings in the NBA. Had an all-timer moment in one of the Finals. He just decided to fold em even though he might could have risked it for more money.

Want me to do it? I'll do it.

Oh, Jalen got multiple blood clots in his lungs?

Clot-shot?

Ok, seriously now, anyone think that it might be the flight to the UK last week? That shite will definitely do it if you're predisposed to it or can't walk around much.

What causes these things especially in high level athletes?

I did read a report on the injury that said that the flight was a factor post injury. Long flights are known to cause DVT post injuries and that's what he has.

Thankfully they caught everything. Scary stuff.

Specifically to him, he was cleated in a game against the Rams. That was the cause of the injury and blood clot.

He has multiple clots in his lungs. You really think getting cleated in the leg caused that?

Well, that's what the medical report and timeline from the team said... so yes. Clots moving to the lungs from legs (pulmonary embolism) is the risk factor.

Key Details on Jalen Hurts' Timeline

• Initial Injury: Hurts first requested treatment for his left calf on October 8, 2026, after getting cleated during a game against the Los Angeles Rams on October 4.

• London Discovery: An ultrasound performed after the team's flight to London revealed a small, superficial blood clot in his calf.

• Progression: Medical staff initially cleared him to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, and some medical commentary noted that long-haul travel or sitting still for extended periods on flights can contribute to clot movement or progression.

• Current Diagnosis: A follow-up ultrasound revealed that the clot had moved and escalated into a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) along with bilateral pulmonary emboli (blood clots in his lungs), leading to him being placed on blood thinners and ruled out for the rest of the season.

I think Jalen would make an excellent coach, if he's interested in that.

Unless there's heart strain. This isn’t nearly as big of a deal as it once was.

Now if he has to stay on eliquis (this is likely what he was rx'd) long term. Then that probably might kill his career, but maybe not. Nothing a pregame INR can't sort out.

100% on purpose, because you are the exact same douche as the hypothetical person you were calling out.

Quite possible. Clots move from other parts of the body to the lungs. That is why any clots are taken seriously.

Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism, both the stated issues for him are the medical terms for a blood clot that forms in the legs, breaks off and moves to the lungs. Not sure why folks are questioning it.

I don't believe you misquoted me on purpose. You wouldn't do that. You're upset by the loss and you're just lashing out.

I get it man. Really.
