I gotta jump in and say how proud I am of Jalen. He has played much better this year in his time playing. He was selfless and showed what a true team player is like. I had some reserved confidence in him when he came in but he totally delivered and not fumbling on that blindside strip was just as important as any other positive play he had. He is a legend now indeed! Great job and great story Jalen!

This thread should go on forever. Jalen put made Saban tear up, that won't happen again.

As weird and crazy as it sounds, I don't think we win that game if Jalen doesn't come in the game...his throws were so on the money...and 5 for 5 on third downs...unbelievable...

Alabama - where legends are made.
Jalen just embodied every bit of that, no one deserved to come in and win that game more than Jalen.
Very poetic indeed. In the same calendar year, in the same building, against the same team, with a championship on the line. Couldn't be happier for Jalen.

When Jalen scores the go-ahead TD, told my brother that Bama has gone from just winning championships to writing legendary stories with heroic endings. I couldn’t be happier for Jalen. He deserves this moment.

Man, I'm so proud of Jalen. He's cemented as an Alabama legend forever now. Such a great story.

Jalen Hurts whipped that Georgia arse tonight. Tua didn't.
That kid is a motherfricking legend.

Just so happy for that kid man.
He got killed for playing poorly, then he got destroyed for his father and brother's mistakes.
He never abandoned the program even after his ill-advised outburst. He got killed for that too.
Didn't transfer. Didn't try to redshirt. Even when some wanted him to leave and said he was selfish for staying because he would be a problem.
He stayed quiet, worked hard and was a good teammate.
Burned a season to be with the team. Wanted to be with the team. Wanted to work for his teammates and represent the University of Alabama.
Damn what a kid. When I was his age I was self-centered primadonna only thinking about making it to the league.
This kid sacrificed and in the end his perseverance and belief helped not only him but the entire university... because they were not going to let us in with that loss.

What I loved about the whole situation is he was always in the game from a mental standpoint. How easy would it been to checkout and only care about rehabbing his ankle sprain for his next team.

Where is this gif of Jalen and Tua hugging? My in-laws are swooning over it but haven’t seen it yet

quote:Agree 100%. Tua was just not in the right place mentally and the receivers were feeding off it negatively. When Jalen came in I was relieved and excited

I was at the game. I had a couple tears in there after the game and I don’t have one ounce of shame for admitting that. He just does things the right way. Class. Dignity. Respect. I am a grown arse man and I am trying to learn from him. Many of us probably could.
