Do anybody know why he didn't play or why he hasn't being playing much?

He's reportedly not dinged up anymore. Some have said missed assignments have caused him to be passed.

I would look for him to transfer (if it's possible)based on what his mom and some others are saying.
I don't think he fits schematically but I do think he's better than GVD!

The only reasonable answer is that he isn’t good enough in this particular scheme. I hate it, because he’s a beast and loves Bama.
But you can’t tell me that when eight or nine guys are being given significant snaps in meaningful game situations that the coaches are just ignoring him arbitrarily.

This staff wants guards who move like tackles.
Roberts is a guard who wants to be a guard and mash people.
I would’ve been happy to have Roberts at guard under Saban but unless he loses weight and improves his agility I don’t think he’s going to see the field under DeBoer in Tuscaloosa.

As I said in week 1, he got passed up on the depth chart. I think that got 11 downvotes at the time because I'm an "idiot" and a "troll"

Yeah it sucks because he's a beast of a guard.
Maybe the new scheme is too complex for him, or he just sucks at pulling? Idk, but I could definitely see him doing well in the NFL

I think he was banged up and never really fit the scheme. He's probably not playing because he has probably told the staff he intends on transferring and they're doing right by him and not burning his year of eligibility.

I thought he was a RS Junior but who knows if it even matters with the NCAA anymore. If you don't play enough snaps they may just not count the season anymore.

Supposedly has had 5-6 concussions to date and those aren’t to be taken lightly. Could be some lingering issues from the last concussion. Could possibly be some assignment issues and maybe even a little extra weight since you have to be symptom free going through practices, conditioning, etc. As far as transferring out, I believe he is in his last year of eligibility as well. In the past, we sometimes struggled to find 5 that were ready. This year, it seems we have 8-9 deserving of reps.

He's fine now. He just got passed up. The play of Carroll and others... Just gotta accept it for what it is.

I agree that he has gotten passed up. I also think there could be some lingering concussion issues/concerns that may have possibly contributed.

I think the concussion is gone.... I just feel like It is what it is. But who knows?

I know I just saw where his mom was saying he's been healthy so I just didn't know.

Has Roberts played in every game? If not, he could redshirt and transfer.
