I think most of us expected our defense just to reload and get better as the season progressed. That's what we typically do. But, we simply lost too much due to guys leaving early and injuries. Yet, in still we made to the national championship game.

Williams is the only person that made this defense good. Without him, it would have been awful.

For a UA team in the hunt for a NC yes. This team on D started getting exposed especially in the SECCG. The coaches were able to hide the issues early on because the O could put up 50+. Remember Arkansas put up 31 on us.
