Ennis Whatley, Gary Waites, Mo Williams, Collin Sexton, Jahvon Quinerly, Kira Lewis. It's a good group. But in terms of what they accomplished at Bama, Sears stands alone.

Can't leave out Hollywood Robinson.
Bama has had some talent at the position over the years.

That question needs to be asked in late March.

Lol top 3 PG of all time? Nope. That's been in the bag. The question of whether he's the GOAT is the better question to be asked, and even that doesn't have to wait until March.

How many top 3 PG’s had multiple games with zero points and got benched at halftime?

That’s unfair. Rumors of a family tragedy of some type.

How stupid will you feel if this guy lost a loved one?

Talking about a guy who led Alabama to our first final four and has scored 2500 points as if he is some bum

How is it unfair to make an observation of what literally happened vs a thus far unsubstantiated rumor?

I just don’t think he stays on the bench if that’s the case

lets see, hes slow for a pg, hes not the greatest ball handler and hes selfish. people get distracted by the points hes scored. yet a pg's main job is to distribute the ball. does he score that many points if hes taking care of his main job, not even close, imo. if i were a gambler, i'd bet that at least half his assists came when he'd put himself in an impossible position and was forced to pass the ball.
imo hes not a true pg at all. bama looks so much better when someone else is at pg an sears is off the ball. i think his effectiveness is better when hes in
a catch and shoot position.

i will give this tho, hes a tough hombre.

He has the highest assist rate on the team

His assist to turnover ratio is 2 to 1

Sears dips into hero ball, is a bit pouty, and is at best an average defender, but he’s an amazing player for us

Really?
First of all, Charles Cleveland was the best guard to ever play at Alabama, then guys like Collin Sexton, T.R. Dunn, Ronald Steele, Ennis Whatley, and James "Hollywood" Henderson can put up an excellent argument over who the other are.
I watched everyone of them play including The Rocket-8's Leon Marlaire who just passed away, and can confidently say that there's an argument to be made for ANY of them.

Yeah, I love Mark’s effort and motor and leadership (most of the time), but I’d choose T.R. Dunn and Ennis Whatley as my starting PG if I were drafting an all Alabama team.

Are you old enough to remember Charles Cleveland?
If not, do a little research, and you'll be amazed.

Prior to the LSU game.. Sears led the league in assists per game in Sec play (7 per game) and had a 4/1 assist to turnover ratio in league play.
