Is it too much to ask that Sarc not offer employment to our staff for a few more days?

Or is it understandable that he appears tone deaf to a possible disruption of focus on this football game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember Kiffin or even Kirby overtly recruiting staff Before the playoff game.

I could get nasty but I won't. Suffice it to say Sarc's personal and professional circumstances have improved 10 fold since first he stepped foot on the Bama Campus. A little consideration might be in order.

Please. Refrain from recruiting U of A staff until it is appropriate to do so. That would be after the conclusion of the season.

I don't understand why we can't get something in these guys contracts about accepting offers and recruiting while the post-season is still ongoing. I don't understand why there isn't some rule in place by the NCAA.

I guess its really a Saban-Bama problem so no one cares.

None of these guys care. It's all about winning and mainly money. Poor form to do any of this prior to the NC game.

So instead of watching film getting ready for Ohio St, Sarc is running around texting coaches and putting feelers out to assemble a staff? Yeah, I know he's "preparing" for Monday, but there's no way possible he's 100% focused. And seeing what OSU's D did to Clemson, we need absolute focus.

I think it's a good bet that most new coaches are considering and even offering jobs to potential coaches well before they move on in the case of staying through games like Sarkisian is doing. So it's more a case, imo, of can news sources not announce it early, but as we know, that's never going to happen. The difference is that the news travels lots faster these days, and journalistic integrity, if it ever existed, surely does not now.

too long didn't read version: It's nothing new

None of these coaches are loyal to BAMA, it's a business decision!

not even Dabo Swinney, who grew up in Alabama and played at Alabama.

As noted, it's all about $$$$, same as it ever was.

Totally agree. You know they are splitting their focus between game-prep and Zillow.com

Just hope any being discussed are blessed off by Saban. He spoke out against former assistants poaching his staff on their way out last year.

Would be a bad time for staff friction to build.

It’s one thing that I always try to emphasize to the guys: what I have a tough time with, aight, is we’ve had however many guys who have worked here who are at Georgia, Tennessee — whoever, wherever — is when they get those jobs, and in most cases you’ve helped them, is they have a hard time understanding why they can’t take your people.” LINK
