Russell won't sniff the field for at least 2 years. Guaranteed!

Trolls and idiots have ruined this once mediocre forum.
Simpson starts next year, and the following year too, if he doesn't go to the NFL. We'll have to see who remains in 2026/2027.

Well, when you're up 75 points it's no a big risk to let one go in the corner.
Nice pass and great catch.

What fiasco? QB management is part of coaching. Coach Saban stuck with Milroe because he thought Milroe was our best chance to win a natty, which almost happened.

DeBoer didn't bring that kid from Folsom, CA to sit behind Ty Simpson.
Austin Mack will start next season unless he is injured.
He'll play 3 years and then hand it off to Russell for 2.
Nah.
Kid has nice size, but that's about it.
He will be 4th string behind Simpson, Lonergan and Russell if they all stayed.
I see Lonergan or Mack hitting the portal this offseason.

He's barely played for us and you're mentioning him and the NFL?

That pass may have been on target but it wobbled like a wounded duck.

I don't think some of you realize who Simpson is. He'd be a starter at almost any other school already.

I don’t disagree with you. But people IMO are getting way ahead of their skis about him as a potential savior because Milroe was such arse last week and, again, I think there’s a sense he hasn’t gotten a fair shot and people are resentful of that.
He ticks a lot of boxes as the “antiMilroe” in ways I think appeal to people and make them gravitate to him. And no I am not talking about the 800-pound gorilla, I am talking about him being from the South, a coach’s son, GQ handsome, very personable as in this interview, etc.
I thought him telling DeBoer he wanted his job someday was ballsy.
Look if he’s the QB in 2025 and 2026 I’ll be cheering for him and pulling for him to win two Heisman Trophies.
But again it speaks volumes that two coaching staffs have weighed him in the balance and found him wanting compared to Jalen Millroe.

He was a redshirt freshman in 2023, and a new staff picked a returning "heisman hopeful " over him in 2024. He's going to get his chance.

I would be surprised if Ty doesn't transfer in the off season. Maybe he just likes being at Alabama if he isn't the starter

And if he does I hope he takes it and runs as far as he can go with it.

I feel like if Simpson didn't transfer when Saban retired then he is in it for the long haul. It would be kind of a travesty for him at this point if he doesn't win the job.

He literally says he wants to be Alabama's future coach in the interview in the OP.

Well, some of y'all are really bad at context clues.

He hasn't gotten a shot. Apparently when he was out in against South Florida there was a mutiny. So this team being held hostage while Milroe sucks up the place is why people have resentment and despise milroe.

Don't go back next year and try to edit your stuff.
That's what I thought.

Mack isn't the man.
