Boz said he believed Hurts would start until he graduated and Tua would start one year if he waited his turn. He was wrong about Hurts and pinned the offensive problems on drops, blocking and play calling.
Eta that I like Boz and appreciate his posts but a few us knew he was way off base regarding Jalen and that goes for most of you.

The only thing that matters is the natty. Period.

Yeah clearly the team hates jalen lol...God I wish people would give it a rest. We ve got the best qb situation in the country, each have strengths that help this team. It's also blatantly disingenuous to not point out that suttles article clearly says "that doesn't mean daboll didn't think jalen should play".

I never like losing to Auburn

Our program doesn't revolve around Auburn... They occasionally get us but not often enough for me to diminish winning a national title.

Saban is the GOAT and has the right to do whatever he wants but I hope he doesn’t eff up the Tua situation. I understand loyalty to Hurts bc he is not that bad.(this year was not great granted) but anybody can see Tua has got to play

I didn't say it did revolve around Auburn. I said I never like losing to them. Especially, I would add, when something as simple as another available player might change the outcome.
You can like losing to Auburn if it pleases you. It doesn't please me.

You can disagree with a decision Saban made, and still believe he’s the greatest of all time, it’s ok, I promise.
Having said that, the Tua situation was his worst coaching decision of his career. Everybody in the world knew Tua was a better quarterback than hurts. Heck, even my grandmother knew Tua was better. He was the last person in the world to figure it out. Why in the world would you want a quarterback like Hurts who can’t throw football?

Not exactly. There were a lot of Hurts fans on this board that supported him even to come back in the 2nd half of the title game. In the game thread you will find posters saying there is no way Saban will replace Hurts. Hell, I think a few still resent the fact that it did happen.

Me neither. But the only that matters is championships. Everything else is just window dressing.

I don't think anyone likes losing to Auburn but my point I guess is they live for beating us, we don't look at them as a measuring stick. I think Tua has earned the right to start and I got downvoted for that lol, but he has to continue to progress .

I had taken that as people saying no way Saban will replace Hurts even though he should and as a result we will probably lose and not as much as a defense of Hurts.

Jalen Hurts first half vs UGA
No point, no offense, no chance
To be fair, Jalen wasn't the one that missed the field goal.

No, but he did miss a wide open TD.

Still gotta make chip shot field goals.

I supported jalen not in opposition to TT...Was never about Tua or his ability. Anyone who had watched the elite 11 knew he had a high ceiling . Jalen had gone into tough environments and made plays that helped win or were difference making plays. We were blowing people out most of the year and the garbage time helped Tua and those young receivers get the reps they needed in game situations. Saban made a change that benefitted the team last Monday and tua proved himself . Hopefully he can build on it and hopefully jalen can be a valuable backup as well as a Swiss army type of weapon.

I did from early season and my opinions were ridiculed and I was told how stupid I was and even earned a one week ban for saying Hurts was a below average quarterback. So yeah, you don't have to tell me about a damn opinion dude.

You were banned for being an idiot.

If jalen was "below average" we'd have dropped more than 1 game. The stuff just goes way over the top sometimes . I'd love to see some people on here debate shank Taylor on the subject because he's been very level headed and recognizes we have 2 valuable assets at the QB position
