Yeah, it’s something I’ve thought about before but Daniel definitely articulated it better than me. I’m just want to talk about something besides being scared.

Up 21-20 in 3rd Q against Oklahoma, Third and three at the 30, Ty Simpson has a clean pocket, Germie open straight in front of him at the 40. He fires it 90 miles an hour and too far in front of him. This kind of situation happens over and over again all season.

DeBoer needs an elite QB to win.

His offense becomes predictable after film is gathered halfway through season.

He won because of Michael Penix.

As soon as TY got exposed our offense has been arse.

He has no deep ball. Opposing teams are just eliminating the middle of the field and we have no answer.

Not having reliable OL and RB is causing this inability to close out in addition to offense evaporating at critical junctures

But on that when has Bama been consistently dominant in last 40 years in Nov?

I can only remember Dubose 1998 team, 2017, 2020
How many seasons have we ended losing to Aub and LSU both

You can't consistently be successful at this without at least a competent running game. We don't have one.

Pet peeve of mine... wasn't that long ago, Bama was one of the best on 3rd down conversions. I chalk this up to injuries.

I chalk it up to having one of the worst running games in the country and probably the worst in Alabama history, whether you look at YPG or YPC.

I'm not saying you have to always run on 1st down. But when you do, you need to be consistently looking at 2nd and 6 or better.

And a competent running game helps you be more successful on 3rd and 1 or 2.

Lack of an adequate running game has killed Bama. I was watching Michigan/Ohio State. Early on Michigan is all over OSU’s passing game. Sayin starts 0-2 with an interception.
What do they do? Two straight run plays to the RB makes it a manageable 3rd and 2 which they convert. Then they go on and score a TD.
I was thinking, if that was Bama, hand off to Jam Miller two straight plays would probably net -1 yard and it’s 3rd and 11.

Many of us, if we were as unproductive on our jobs, we wouldn't stay employed very long.

I'm going to assume that, at least in the running game, the players involved work hard. So that leaves two glaring possibilities: either the players lack ability at the level that this program demands, or our coaches aren't very good at coaching them up. And both statements can be true.

The numbers speak for themselves. Worse than #110 in the country in both YPC and YPG should be unacceptable.

Fixing the running game has to be the priority for 2026, mic drop, non-negotiable.

Absolutely.

And if that means firing coaches after the last game and hitting the portal for OLs and RBs, so be it.

I don't like the doom and gloom either, but we're just a sloppy offense with no identity. Perhaps Grubb is overrated.

I just want this team to get off the bus today and look like a team prepared to play in a road game that matters.

I'm not trying to be doom and gloom either. That is our identity. We are a high turnover offense and really have been since around mid-season 2024. We can play this sort of clock milk style and comfortably win games reliably if we were cleaner on offense. It's the simple.

Once in the last 15 years: 2019. Before that it was 2010.

Where do some of these posters come from?

Our offense is inconsistent and one-dimensional. That's why most games have been close this season.

I think part of the running game problem is trying to run out of the bunch sets. It only clogs up the center of the field making it tough to run inside.

But I'm no coach, so my opinion is not worth much

2007 is the last time we lost to both LSU and Auburn. So 17 years.
