I think this is all for the best. I know some posters on Alabama boards didn't agree that the injuries were in any way the fault of the S&C program, but I thought it may have been at least somewhat. Reading some of Saban's comments, he must have thought so.

I didn't see an introduction page or thread on this board, but thanks for allowing me to post here. I've been on various Alabama boards but have been too busy the last couple of years to participate much, so I quit the pay boards. Looks like you guys have a good one here. RTR

Nick Saban's New Philosophy (Late Kick Cut) (youtube)

"Greetings BOL. Last night we talked about the bigger picture of Nick Saban's ability to adapt and how it relates to the Zenitz and Talty story yesterday. I didn't personally have a strong reaction to Scott Cochran leaving Alabama last week, mainly because the people I trust had indicated for quite a while there was a growing divide between the value some fans/media placed on him versus folks inside the program. What I'm NOT saying: Scott Cochran was worthless. Scott Cochran will suck at UGA. Scott Cochran was run out of town. What I AM saying: Alabama is more than pleased with the way this turned out, and for the record I think UGA/Bama will both look like winners coming out of this deal in the near future." -- Josh Pate

Georgia is rolling the dice with him as their special teams coach. He's never done it before. All he's ever done is S&C. Ballou and Rhea are proven. Big time upgrade for Alabama.

The best thing that has come out of this for me is that I'm paying a whole lot more attention to our brand new sports science center. These days you get used to people wanting to put fancy titles on the same meat and potatoes jobs.

Apparently that ain't the direction we're heading. I'm looking forward to what these guys think of the new facility. I wonder how much change we'll see with the 4th quarter program? I guess it's true, "if you build it they will come."
