Idk about players getting hurt during the NCG, however in
2011 CJ dislocated his hip
2016 we lost Bo during game and Eddie Jackson against TAMU which likely played a significant role in the Clemson rematch
2017 we lost Jonah Williams in the title game
2018 both QBs were playing injured and we lost Christian Miller in 1st round of playoffs

I posted in another thread but Bama gets hit harder with significant injuries to key personnel more than any other team. UGA had ZERO season ending injuries to starters during the season in 2017 and only one this year to an OL early in the schedule.
The Saban era has been marred with injuries and has limited the overall potential/ceiling.
I would add this is reason to stop FCS and G5 games because there is nothing to gain and Bama always gets key personnel injured.

The intent of this thread was not to put forth excuses. I believe we would have lost even if Metchie and Jameson were healthy.
Talking of .. heard this morning Sam (Big Teeth) Acho arguing with Keyshawn and saying Bama pulls so many 5* that injury to Jameson is not relevant ... ok .. but .. I heard the same Acho complain that they would have won it if Colt hadnt been injured.

Not making excuses but no way is this true. We almost won without them. Heck we win with just Jamo.

I have to agree with that . We win with Jamo &Metchie. Georgia very good but we were no slouch. We were damn good.
The way our defense played was outstanding. We played with fire and passion. Very proud of that.
