More sweet than bitter for me.

It's all about perspective.

12-2. SEC champion hardware, playoffs. Beat each rival.

I NEVER would have guessed this season would have gone this well. We over achieved big time, and that's a fact.

I am super proud of this team and season.

I get it... it can suck seeing how close we were to getting in the big dance again. It does. But this team was never supposed to be a world beater team. Michigan beat us. They were WAY better than I had guessed they would be. Way better.

Fandom is intentional masochism. Only 1 team gets the real trophy. The rest always suffer.

We kicked way more arse this year than I ever thought we would. Nice to do that when you are for sure in a down season.

RTR, fellas. It was an awesome season. LOTS to look back on and relish.

This. We lost in OT to the #1 team. We don't have to get a lot better. Just a little better. We played our worst game since probably USF. I'd take us in a rematch 7/10 times.

I'd probably take us 50/50.

We had a brutal schedule. Squeaked by a few games we should have performed much better in, too.

You'll get downvoted but you are absolutely correct. People love tearing down our players on this board after a loss. It's pretty pathetic. Dudes played hard, they were just the better team.

I am assuming most of the people that are melting down and ragging on players are the same ones that thought that there was no way in hell we could possibly win the SEC and make it to the playoffs. Man babies.

Yep. We struggled to beat lowly Arkansas at home because Milroe struggled badly that day.

We over achieved but still ended up with a disappointing 2 loss season with inconsistent play on offense from start to finish, wasting a championship quality defense. While exciting, we had a lot of games we could have lost all season long.

Milroe is so exciting running but so inconsistent in presnap reads, managing the pocket and throwing at all depths. I can't imagine he's going to be much different next year

Unfortunately we’ll probably lose 90% of the defense that typically bailed us out this year.

He won’t be any different next year. And Saban has a hard on for the QB with the most experience even though more talent rides the bench.

Over a total season, I believe this was Coach Saban’s best coaching job. The team that played Texas and USF was losing at least 2-3 more games. Coach rallied them and got more out of this team than I thought possible.

It was a great coaching job; however, if Milroe doesn’t have a Jayden Daniels type of improvement next year, Saban is probably going to have to make some decisions that will hurt some feelings. We lose most of the starting defense, two senior running backs, and a decent receiver. What worked this year to get a Milroe-led Bama through some tough games will not be enough I’m betting. Luckily Georgia is early next year, and that might be the game where Sayin or Simpson has an opportunity.

Holy shite. We saw what Simpson could do vs USF. He's not the guy. Sayin hasnt taken a damn snap in a college football game. How about the guy the led us to the CFP?

His arm leaves a lot to be wanting after we came off of some of the best passers in Bama history. I'm not anti Jalen at all. Probably just a decision and consistency issue I see. Not totally his accuracy issues

In the end we all have thoughts about everything. In Lord Saban I trust. As always.
