Bottom line. somethings up with Sears. Hes usually deadly and his shot right now is just gone. Even at the line he's missed more than usual.
Turning the ball over, hes not the player he was at the end of last year.,We need him.,

Sears needs to be comfortable in an off ball role. We are at our best when Philon and Holloway are distributing the ball to everyone.
And most importantly Sears just needs to be a leader in all moments not just when he is playing well

I think this team is going to drop a couple of games that they shouldn’t. They will get the chemistry and rotation a figured out and be a team no one wants to play come tournament time. Philon is a beast. Sears will get it going, but he has to get use to the offense not always running through him.

Illinois was good but they never scared me. Like we should've beat them by 20.
Houston will be a totally different animal.
We will need Mark Sears to get his sense of urgency back offensively. He was doing good DEFENSIVELY but for some reason it tapered off.
I believe in him though...he got to shake it off and get going.

Totally agree with Joka here!
"He's the best lead guard! He's a natural one.
Understand something guys. It's going to take time for Mark Sears to adjust. He carried us last season playing heavy minutes.
Again once he learns to play off Philon...he's going to be unstoppable once again."

Sears got a big adjustment, we got two other guards who can get to the hole off the dribble drive this year. He’s not the best scorer on this team. Sears is more than a role player perhaps not a star this season but he can’t be on the court if his defense suffers for it.

Hopefully that's true, if so all you can do is respect him more

Stevenson is not a player that Bama needs. I see him as a mid-major player. I think we will be the best team without him. I want Mallette instead of Stevenson.

I think Sears is going to “energy guy” himself into an NBA career. He has to prove he’s a team first guy with skills this season considering the NBA draft interest isn’t great rn. Being a Pelicans fan, I could see him being a way better version of Jose Alvarado for a team for a long time.
ETA: A big CBB tourney run for him could be a big deal as well. He doesn’t need to worry about his stats in these kinda games.

I’m looking forward to Omoruyi vs Johni. It’s gonna be a fun one.

Field of 68 just interviewed Nelson, and he told them the same thing. They didn't even ask, he was talking about the teams depth and said Sears saw the problem with his play and wanted Oats to play the other guards.

Okay stop. The guy averaged nearly 22 ppg on absurd efficiency last year.

Bama is going to need Sears. That pre-season All-American hype doesn’t come in a vacuum. He was literally that good to wrap up.
It’s still in him and it’s too early to be pretending it isn’t, but he’s the key and how far Bama goes is still very much on him.
