Our offense will be fine, but our defense will learn if they are truly men and tough or not, because Notre Dame is gonna damn sure punch them in the mouth and find out.

I feel confident we win, because I don't think they can stop us for 4 quarters. However, I'd be lying if I said I felt good about our defense manning up and playing sound, hard, physical, consistent football for those same 4 quarters.

I'd sure as hell love to come back in here and eat a big helping of crow though! Roll Tide.

Been thinking the same. They'll be able to commit to the run and take advantage of our linebackers and safties. Offensively, we'll be fine and I think Devonta takes one back on special teams.

ND has been hearing all about our last matchup; how overrated they are; their record in BCS/CFP games; etc.. They're absolutely going to give us all we can handle.

Ultimately, I think we'll pull away late, but it'll much closer than what most experts are predicting.

Side note: frick Clemson. Normally wouldn't say this, but I'm pulling for Ohio State.

This might be a game where we will see Defense grow up....

I think it stays close for a quarter and a half or so then ND makes a couple of mistakes that open up the game. If they don’t force things and think they have to score every possession then they might keep it tight for longer but if book starts getting happy feet and tries to force throws then one turnover could be costly.

Maybe, but they're gonna have to show me. I just can't trust it at this point.

Damn it I'd love to see it though. They have the ability to play 60 minutes of solid football. They've shown glimpses of it. Just gotta do it.

Agree 100%

They'll be under a lot of pressure to try and play our game, and they can't do that. Book has had instances in the past where he tried to do that and it bit them badly.

I can't trust our defense either, but I'm encouraged by our performance in Florida game... I saw a post here that someone said that the We will see new look on offense tomorrow... That could be a good thing.

It would benefit Alabama to receive the ball first as to stay ahead of the score... force ND to score on every possession. if we defer the ball, then ND are in control of the game if we can't force 3 and out.

I just want to see us playing with our hair on fire on defense. No confusion, no timidness, no WTF stuff. Just get the hell after it.

SOG,

I have a feeling that defense will be very intense. I don't think I've seen this team so focused... Last time Boz said that was in 2019... and we got our arse whupped... by Clemson. Team was focused, but Tua couldn't make adjustments... had he done that, we win that game. So I feel good about the game..

Agreed - this bunch has great leadership and are on a mission.

Also, we could play a solid ball game and still get a fight from the Irish. And that might not be the worst thing in the world for us, honestly.

I’m nervous but I’ll be there to support the tide. Let’s finish this.

I've been feeling the same way and commented when a guy talked like we would just show up and win.

They aren't even my real worry, I think even if ND takes away our deep ball we can find a way to win.

My real worry is Clemson. They can really run it with their RB and QB. I really think we need Jaylen Waddle in that game.

Venrables will try to scheme us into some problems. To get Waddle to make it impossible to cover us would be perfect.

Clemson is our nemesis. We have to beat them. Stop the run, and see what happens. It’s what ND did the first time.

Day before, I'll place Notre Dame about 2nd or 3rd toughest game on our schedule.
Somewhere between Georgia, a ready to play Florida, and aTm.
