Run for their money. I know that Scar is mercurial, but if they were anything close to as good against NC as they were against us, then NC beat a pretty good team. Could very easily transfer over to a somewhat tense and concerning game for the Tiggers.

I’ll confess that’s not a good look.
I still look at how Clemson has played and see where they are not as strong as they would like to believe. I am not saying NC pulls the upset. Just that Clemson fans are going to have some heartburn coming out of that matchup.

i was wondering. if, a big if i know. but if, clemson were to lose this game, or any acc game, would it knock them out of the cfp? given the state of affairs in the acc and all.

I don't think so. It would cripple their chances and they would need some help along the way, but they wouldn't be left out. A 12-1 Clemson gets the benefit of the doubt over a 12-1 PAC 12 champ washington, or a 11-1 only loss to Bama LSU.

The bottom would be heaven on earth scenario actually. The "you should have to win your conference fightin lsu tigers" would be out with pitchforks if they went 11-1 and were passed up for a 1 loss Clemson team that won their awful conference

My clemson friends believe they have to go unblemished due to their schdule. Well 2 of the 3 do. All 3 say it but one really only does because of the other two.

If somehow Clemson were to lose an upcoming ACC game, all they will do is start beating the hell out of the rest of their schedule to prove they still belong in the conversation.

It would put the committee in an interesting conundrum if Alabama barely beat either LSU or UGA in a nail biter and Clemson is sitting there with an ugly loss to a UNC or Wake Forest.

Clemson will not make it to the playoffs with 1 loss unless some strength in their schedule appears.

You'll see 2 Big10 or 2 SEC teams before then.

Edit: But Clemson isn't going to lose, so it doesn't really matter.

If Clemson barely loses then destroys the rest of their schedule including an ACC championship... They are a lock.

4 best teams, not 4 most deserving

Yes they will. They have been in the playoffs 4 straight seasons and won 2 of the last 3 titles. If they win the ACC even with a loss they will get in based on those performances alone.

Edited to add that they are going to stomp a mud hole in North Carolina. It will not be pretty at all.

Cu will win by 40+ tomorrow and yes the game is in CH. USC blew that game, Miami missed FG cost them, and I won money on App St. UNC I am not even sure will go bowling this year.
