Clemson is the only 15-0 team so at some point every other team in this era has had to overcome a loss. I will say that unlike 2011 I didn’t come out of the game feeling like the better team lost.

I'm just ready to beat Auburn and then start watching 'dem Bryce Young bowl practice highlight videos.

I actually think we are getting the 4th spot and so do a lot of people. Play our game, win out and let’s hope for the best.

Our problem is that the loss was to a divisional team and will prevent us from going to Atlanta. If we'd had a couple big wins outside of it? Yea, I think we'd have a shot.

Combine no divisional title with no big wins and no clear ugly duckling 4th seed (at the moment).......and it's a rough climb.

Will need to be competing with a 2 loss conference champ or Oregon after beating up on Auburn, IMHO.

Stuff has to happen still. Need 2 loss champ in the PAC 12 and Big 12 I think. Or an improbable loss by Clemson. Our resume isn’t good enough to get in over a 1-loss Oregon or Oklahoma. You gotta have some good wins and we don’t.

I disagree. We will get in over a one loss Oregon or Oklahoma provided we beat Auburn. Conference championships aren't the only qualification to be in the playoff.

I do not think we get in over 1 loss Oklahoma.

I do think, if the BXII is eliminated, that we'd have a legitimate shot vs Oregon since the Auburn game would be a clear comparison point and they'd be lacking big wins.

I don’t know. When you start stacking wins we will have one win that would be considered good and that could be over a 4 loss team at that point.

I honestly think the playoff committee will look at Clemsons schedule more unfavorably than ours. But, if Clemson wins out they'll be in the playoff.

Auburn is given a lot of respect by the polls and rightfully so. Look at their ranking now.

I know but they have two losses now. We need them to beat UGA this week.

If they lose to UGA and then lose to us they will be 8-4. At best they will be between 20-25. A&M will be 7-5.

So, we'll be 11-1 with 1 Top 25 win (barely in the Top 25). That's just a really tough sell.

But if they lose to UGA and us, they’ll be a 4 loss team. Any 4 loss team is likely not be higher than 20.

If OU wins the Big 12 with one loss, they’d beaten a ranked Baylor team twice and possibly ranked Texas and OSU as well. Our loss is definitely better though. Their resume is not way better than us but it’s very likely they’d get in over us based on that.

Oregon lost to Auburn on a neutral field, Oklahoma lost to K State and barely beat Iowa State, Utah lost to a not so good USC. We win out we are in.

Oregon is the only one out of that group that I think we will get in over due to the P12, their wins and the comparative of Auburn.

Oklahoma wins out they are in. That isn't going to even be a discussion.

Utah would be similar to Oregon, but I don't think we get in over a 1-loss conference champ unless there is something there to really let the committee grab onto (an Auburn comparison would be one).

Vey strange and defeatist arguments being presented here.
Chances of us climbing back are slim. We need a lot of help with at least two teams suffering additional unexpected losses. But these things do happen,so fingers crossed.
As to LSU game we would have won it with a healthy Tua; I have no doubt about that.
The game went about almost the way I expected it to,I thought Tua wouldn't be 100% and would make mistakes, others would make some unexpected ones too.
But overall I thought our defense would make enough stops to pull out a narrow win and Tua's handicap wouldn't hurt us. Well that didnt happen and we lost a close game.
Nowhere did I see us playing a team that was vastly superior to us. It was their day
Beating us 8 out of 10? Even the Ogre wouldn't say that and LSU would not want to face us again in the playoffs. Who thinks they want a repeat of 2011 even if they feel they are superior? If the situation was reversed,we wouldn't want to play them either.
These teams are closely matched and without our injuries we are superior. That I believe 100%.
Next game Tua 100%,not sure if that's possible,we win.
Please no Colt references. You guys saw the game you can make up your own mind.
By the way rematches happen a lot especially in Big 12 and even in SEC,remember Georgia-Awbarn. Just my rant.

I would love if we got in but I am not sure with the way we are playing right now we could win it all. But if we did not I would love to see Baylor go undefeated by beating OU twice as I believe they would get in with OSU and CU. Then UGA get in by beating LSU.

You think with the way LSU fans are now melting about us possibly getting in while gloating about their team they could handle not making it at all now. You would only be allowed to post on your on team board.

Here’s the good part. We have A Chance. We should be happy about that.

This is not 2011. Unlike that season LSU has a coaching staff that will prepare and scheme taking the second game seriously, a very capable team that will be focused and a QB that has the will to win. I think if I were Bama I wouldn’t want to face these tigers again.

Tua’s “handicap” did not hurt us. We didn’t make stops when we needed to, and when we did, our offense didn’t properly execute.

Highly unlikely, but we have to hope that somehow South Carolina beats Clemson and we might get in..
