Those TEs are a nightmare matchup for us

I would love to see Saban try running everything that gave the Alabama teams of 5+ years ago fits. Get in touch with his inner Freeze.

Kirby is Saban 10 years ago. I 100% expect Saban to know how to beat him.
We need Kirby to help us out a little bit, as he usually does.

Imo, Bama offense will need to control TOP, have 70+ plays and keep the UGA defense on the field as much as possible.
Bama D must be able to limit their run game, pressure the QB, force turnovers and make stops on 3rd downs.
Basically the usual stuff.

The only way that happens is if BoB schemes up quick throws off of motion to basically replace or at least supplement the run game.
So far, haven't seen anything to suggest we will do that.

Agree and try and limit our substitutions so GA can't sub in their guys. Make their big guys, particularly Davis, stay on the field all 3 downs and wear him out!

Georgia is also going to have to uncharacteristically shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly. Dropped passes, miscommunications on both sides of the ball, bad snaps, dumb penalties, etc.

UGA is going to attack us with their two TE's and that will be a problem.
I imagine you’ll get a healthy dose of 13 personnel with three TE’s. We’ve used this a lot this year.

Send several COVID infected Coeds to Athens to cuddle with their defense! They must go today though! LOL

The unfamiliar role of the hunter instead of the hunted.
1. Don't let their TEs run free all over the field.
2. Realize that the OL is shite and can't hold the pocket. Roll BY out.
3. Strategic designed runs by BY. Haven't shown it all year.
4. 4th and 1 from their 45...go for it...but not with a delayed handoff off right tackle.
5. Speaking of... scrap the delayed handoffs. The OL isn't opening any holes...the delay just creates a tackle for loss.

I wanted to claw my eyes out on Saturday every time it was 3rd or 4th and 1 and we went shotgun for a handoff 3 yards in the backfield.

Get on center with a FB and TB. Smash the middle. If they stop it, they earned it.

On the contrary.... I say dust off the 2011 BCSNCG strategy. If you go too fast without scoring, we'll find ourselves in a hole quickly. We need good, creative short and safe plays: we need to get the ball past the line of scrimmage as quickly as possible and into the hands of the playmakers.
TBH I have very little confidence in BOB's ability to craft such a game plan
Only way we win this game is by turning it into the 21-0 LSU game imo

You know every time we play Uga the unexpected change seems to always mess up Kirby's thinking.
Although his change at OC seems to making hug difference this yr.I dont expect him to go for it on 4th down.
In saying that consider the Tua/hurts switch both times .The little things like having title game freshmen Leatherwood step up, Title game freshmen Najeee inserted .Metchie over top for a td aginst UGA 2020.
That's why I say the same thing in all these type post.
" we are a few personnel changes from being the Max this team we can be"
1.Koolaid for jobe = check
2. Seth McLaughlin for Dalcourt/Owens.=check
3.Look for Brooks/Holden playing more to allow 1,8 to work in the slot.=check
whats left and its that change that UGA does not think Bama can do anything about/wont do anything about.
Options
1.Move Lythem in for Emil who's really playing way below what was expected for him.
Laythem has already been working at RG anyway.
2.Play Cohen at RT and still insert Laythem for Emil at Right Guard. Then put brown next to Neal at Left guard.
Now keep in mind that both Cohen and Laythem came in recruited as Tackles.
Laythem and Seth both have more pop than Emil and Seth likes to mix it up.If you watch the replay of the AU game.He lost a few battles but won his share and played mean at the center spot.
3.Insert Laythem at Right Guard and stay with Owens at Right Tackle.
4.Insert Laythem at Right tackle and if he struggles like George(which I doubt). Then we can always go back to Owens.
Whats at risk for such a dramatic shift.
Nothing because what we have on the right side at guard does/has not helped the running or passing game.
Whats to gain?
Well from the time Seth came in we ran better and he held his own enough in the middle that we had better drives. So maybe a mix in of Brown/Laythem if not total switch helps on some possessions.
It Stops the two week spots form a total full game of struggles.(motivates)
Its going to be a war and its an illumination game for us..All hands on deck.
If they all struggle the worst we can do is always go back to Dalcourt,Emil, Owens.
Note:
A Coach with NFL o-line experience knows his bread & butter is versatility and its why we have always seen our tackle recruits play some guard.
That's why I dont understand after all these games and reps in practice we cant try something else on the right side. All the bodies we have somebody else may be ready to at-lest spell 71,#55,79 some spot duty

Take a page from McElwain and his rb screen pass.
Like others said wr screen and quick passes. Try to take some pressure off the O line. They're going to have their hands full Saturday.
Just got to outscore them. Feel like we have the advantage at qb hopefully Bryce goes all out.
Couple forced turnovers would be nice also.
