Like I said, you can say his name in the same breath as LT and Butkus and not seem ridiculous.

And your right he beat penn State alone.

Still holds the all time single game sack record in the nfl at 6

The guy was probably the greatest physical specimen to every play for the tide. He was long and graceful and moved like a gazelle. It was the saddest thing what happened to him.

I remember his dad went down in a plane in Nam.

Another great player seldom mentioned was Ozzie Newsom. He was a wideout for Bryant but played TE as well, which is what he played in the NFL

He would definitely be our all time TE. And this guy had the most unreal hands. He could literally catch anything.

There is no statistical justification to suggest that Ingram was better than Henry. Henry is #1 in Bama history in career rushing yards, single season rushing yards, and single season rushing touchdowns. He's tied with Ingram at first for career rushing touchdowns. That's with splitting time for all of 14 and barely seeing the field for some godforsaken reason in the regular season of 13.

Ingram had a smaller standard deviation in terms of ypc. Probably because of his lower center of gravity, he had fewer negative plays. Henry, had more big plays but wasn’t as good of a 3rd and two type back.

They are different backs.

QB: AJ McCarron for sure, 2 titles, Maxwell Award Winner, numerous school records at the time, Heisman runner-up

RB: Ingram or Henry, can't decide which

WR: Julio or Cooper, I lean Cooper personally because of how insane his 2014 was

ILB: If we focus solely on Inside backers I think quite a few players made arguments.

DB: Fitzpatrick makes a solid argument with his Thorpe win

Dwight Stephenson not getting enough love. If Hannah is the greatest OLineman (he is), it is by a whisker.

(Mini-csb... I talked to one of the Blackwood brothers who played with Dwight Stephenson on the Dolphins. I mentioned I was an Alabama fan. He said in the film sessions with both offense and defense together that they -and especially the DL - would ooooh and aaaah over Dwight manhandling opponents. He was so quick off the snap and had such strong hands he would get into the DL's pads and leverage them before they could even react.)

RB - Henry best combination of power and speed I've seen at Bama - I never remember him being caught from behind.

Maybe not in the open field, but he was probably caught more behind the line of scrimmage than any RB in Saban's tenure. When you talk about his big year in 2015, you have to keep in mind he averaged over 26 carries a game. He had 395 frickin' carries that year.

I think Ingram, and even a healthy Lacy was better.
