It'll be interesting to see what paraphernalia they found because that doesn't sound that bad. His lawyer is going to be able to justify the money found in his jacket considering his NIL income.

It will also be interesting to see the reason the search warrant was signed in the first place.

Does the fact that he was pulled over last week come into play? Not sure if it played into the probably cause determination.

Agents recovered 2.1 pounds of marijuana from different places inside the residence, while also seizing a rolling tray, packaging material and a bottle of promethazine that was reportedly not prescribed to Holloway.

Surely phenergan wouldn't even be mentioned unless it was mixed with codeine, right? A mild antihistamine isnt worth mentioning in a report.

I would consider that a pretty huge overreach for a home search warrant, but I’m a bigger fan of privacy than modern judges seem to be.
Being pulled over and cited for a small amount of weed to a full on task force search warrant seems messy

The warrant is going to be tight considering his fame.
He either had communications to distribute to an undercover or actually completed the transaction.
Orrrrrr we have a rat.
Either way, I doubt they didn’t have good PC. If they don’t they are idiots.
Side note it seems like Holloway decided to remain silent which is smart.

Marijuana is just another drug that does society no good and should be avoided.
So is alcohol but it's isn't banned or limited.
All I'm saying is be consistent. I don't smoke however if you're going to be angered by marijuana, why not have the same angst for liquor which has a worse impact yet is freely available?

The major thing that's bothering me is how they for the judge to approve the search warrant when last week they could've had him?
What proable cause they had to get a search warrant to assume he was selling?

Agree completely with everything you said. I read in the article that Alabama_Fan posted that seemed to indicate the traffic stop was coincidental to this and this was already something that was in the works.

I totally agree with your main point.
If the Alabama police wanted, they could also be making felony arrests of people driving 2 cases of liquor home.
The amount Holloway had would be a misdemeanor in many other states and no search warrant issued without very compelling evidence that he was a serious dealer.
Maybe he is but my guess is he bought a lot because he's young, dumb and flush with cash and probably just sold here and there to his friends.
The exact scenario where most states give you a ticket if they have to and say good day.

I recognize her name from somewhere. She’s been a judge on something having to do with a past incident

Couldn't the warrant be from some proof of him buying a large amount?
