"her JD from Birmingham School of Law."
Is that a real place? I've heard the name, but is it located in a storage unit on Southside or something?

2.2 pounds is limit to be charged with drug trafficking. He was found with 2.1 pounds. Either cops helped him out a little or he is the luckiest individual in the world

I know a woman who went there. She's doing well. Overall, though, it isn't a great law school.
For those that took the bar exam for the first time in Alabama in July 2025 95% that went to Bama passed it. 88% from Samford passed it. None from the Birmingham School of Law passed despite having more than any other school in the state.

Non ABA-accredited but graduates can sit for the AL bar.

He did indeed. It isn't accredited, so you cannot sit for the bar exam anywhere besides Alabama. Most of those places are total scams with bar passage rates in like the 20s or 30s after charging you $125,000 for 3 years of classes.

It could be, and that’s probably where the Rat comment comes in. I felt more like a professional flipper in Drug Enforcement than an actual agent at times. It’s a literal game of people’s emotion.

Have a relative that graduated from Samford and then their law school there. Scored at the top of the bar exam.
Decided pretty soon after that they didn't want to be a lawyer.
They aren't using their undergraduate degree either.

That wouldn't surprise me if you know what I know about him. Great at Marketing, though.

Yes, not to he confused with Mike "Alabama Hammer" Slocum, who is still hunting those big bucks

Mike’s marketing is an embarrassment to those of us who also attended Cumberland School of Law (Samford).

It is embarrassing to those that didn’t attend that law school too.

A modern spin on the ambulance chaser trope. Honestly it's kind of amusing, as a joke. Actually making that your "thing" that makes you stand out in the crowd of billboard and TV commercial lawyers is certainly...a choice.

Two important upcoming dates in the Aden Holloway case:
-- UA Office of Student conduct hearing: Not expected to take place this week with Alabama on spring break, but normally it happens within 2-3 days of a request, per Holloway's attorney, Jason Neff. He said the hope is the hearing will take place "the first of the week," so after the first weekend of NCAAT. Holloway's suspension would be the subject of that hearing.
-- A preliminary court hearing: Neff said that's expected in a month or so. (The case starts in district court but will go to circuit court if Holloway is indicted by grand jury)

Samford undergrad, Bama law...licensed attorney, but didn't go the traditional ambulance chaser route...thank God.
My initial comment on the Bham School of Law was tongue in cheek...but I lived in Birmingham and have no idea where it's actually located off the top of my head without looking it up. Maybe downtown somewhere.
