For me the worst was walking out of the stadium in the rain after being shut out by Auburn at home in 2000 by 9-0. Miserable day in every sense of the word.

Was in Auburn for the honk if you sacked Brodie game. That was pretty much the low for me. Just capped off the season that looked so promising before prothro went down. It was then I realized we've gone nowhere since 99... and we weren't gonna get there without drastic changes.

Bill Curry was proof any idiot can win 10 games at Bama. Just stay out of the way and don’t screw it up. That was a maddening tenure. I will never forget being manhandled by Memphis. That was Curry: he could play LSU and Tennessee and win and turn around the next week and lose to Memphis. Or Ole Miss. And not complete a single pass the entire game. 0-11 passing, 0 passing yards. The only pass completed that Homecoming Day in 1987 was the brick thrown complete through Curry’s office window. Bad times, my friends.

the 2005 season... going undefeated into November, getting as high as #5, kind of made us feel like for the first time since the sanctions, this program was capable of coming back.

2006 made if obvious that it wouldn't be with Mike Shula.

I was in Memphis in 87 for the Bama/Memphis game.
The team had no energy at all & got upset that day 13-10.
The next week I was in Legion field to watch a motivated Tide upset #8 Tennessee 41-22.
You knew with Curry as our coach the weaker opponents may win or take us to the wire.
This is where Saban as our HC spoils me. He doesn't overlook any opponent no matter their name or record.

I remember the "dark times" . . .

Like it was last Saturday, um, er . . . like it was yesterday.

But seriously . . . Bill Curry. I'll NEVER forget the feeling of the 1989 Iron Bowl. We were undefeated, with one of the best passing attacks in the country, and lost by 10. It was the first time played in Auburn and we could have shut them up. Hell, I remember Pat Dye wondering how they won. That was a horrible feeling.

It’s awesome to be a part of it as a spectator/alum. I’m 29, graduated UA in 2013, so I had a great time on campus needless to say but I only saw shite growing up, hearing about the good ole days under Bryant. I’m glad I got to see Alabama return to glory

Class of '98 here. Got Stallings' last year and then the Mikes epoch.

Ugh; class of ‘98 here as well. Couple years of Stallings and then The DuBose nightmare began.

To be honest; my outlook was formed by the Mike trio; I feel like we’re going to lose almost every game we play against a decent team. I’m still in amazement that we’re good and it’s lasted so long.
