That’s a valid point.

Although the only injury we haven’t tested is not having Metchie. Everyone else we’ve dealt with not having. Typically Bama’s playoff version is solid.

Listening to Will Anderson's interview from yesterday, the team is locked in and focused. They are not overlooking Cincy at all. they're taking the team seriously.

I forgot about Earle.. I remember someone telling me on the other board that he was cleared to play. So I'll assume Earle will start, but Brooks/Holden will play.

I could be wrong but I don't think they are starting Earle as the X or Z receiver opposite Jamo on the outside. I think he gets his reps at the slot with Slade.

That’s right. Earle is Slades backup. He will be good once he gets reps and more game time.

I agree with people that this is a bad matchup for Cincy and will come down to whether the good, bad or the ugly version of Bama shows up.

With Bryce's decision making and accuracy at QB it makes me feel good that Bama can have a big day on offense if the line holds up. Looking at last year JT Daniels, who currently can't beat out Stetson Bennett, put up almost 400 yards with tons of players missing against a Cincy D that was better last year. UGA had guys get behind thier secondary a few times.

Looking at Cincy under Fickell, the best QBs they have faced seem to be Justin Fields in his second ever start, Milton and Gabriel at UCF, Daniels and maybe Greg Ward Jr or Speight after that. Bryce is going to be by far the toughest test they have ever faced.

Hope he gets it

Edit- not hating on Slade bc he has done a good job this year. I have liked Earle since Day 1 and think he can be special

We are going to win by 3 scores. They will not be able to contain JWill and we will have a freshman WR breakout.

Ya'll heard BOB's interview today? Earle, Brooks and Hall have improved.

At the moment the SEC is 0 for 4 in bowl games.
Not a good conference look so far.

Missouri, Florida, Auburn and Miss St.

They aren't teams that are in great shape right now, but still, that's a pretty bad look. Especially Miss St. that's one the should have been competitive in. With Auburn's transfers and players sitting out, it was going to be ugly regardless who they played.

There's only one SEC team I care about winning their postseason game.

Exactly!

Happy for Auburn to lose and always pull for armed force's teams to win, otherwise care less about other sec teams, they won’t be cheering for Alabama.

I thought miss st would be a better competition but it wasn’t even close. Not sure on that one honestly.

Edit- they had 10 starters out nvm

I think the guys will be dialed in. It’s two games to glory. They already knocked the shite out of the supposed best team in the playoff, Georgia. This is the least challenging playoff Alabama has played in. They just have to play together and do their job. Listen to Coach Saban. And they will not be denied. Also I think Bama runs the table with victories over all three of the finalists in a row, UGA, UC and UM in the CFPNC. That will be impressive and leave no doubt. Roll Tide!

I would love to beat UM for the title. I despise Harbaugh. I live in North Georgia, so beating UGA would be sweet as well, just to hear them moan for another year, but I don't dislike them nearly as much as Michigan.

Cincinnati needs a lot of things to go right just to hang in this game. top notch play calling, red hot qb, two skill guys that can create a mismatch...etc. I see nothing special on that Cincy offense.

My o-line goes 6'4" 320. Their defensive front averages 6'2" 250. 3-3-5 to boot. wrong answer.

When Saban has a week to ponder you, it's bad. When he has a month, you're in deep, deep trouble.

X factors. One on each side:

The question all month is who replaces Metchie. I think his position will be filled by committee but his targets go to Billingsley. He's been in the doghouse all year but Saban plays guys who know what they're doing, don't put the ball on the ground and are proven on a big stage. Also he had his highest snaps and production this year against USM and OM, both 3-3-5 defenses.

I thought it would be Barmore last year. I got Mathis this year. Everything works when HT and Harris are kept clean. Plus this kid (and JAD) patiently waited his turn and I can't wait for it to pay off.

To summarize, I expect the Ole Miss game plan on offense (50 runs vs 26 passes) and I hope the defense continues to keep the assignments simple so everyone can play fast. Bama puts this away with no drama because football favors the bigger, stronger, faster team.

I think the TE will feast in this game. Put speed in Metchie's place to tie up those corners

The defense played good, but Auburns offense is garbage. Just look how group of 5 Houston defense did against them. The same defense that gave up 35 to Cincinnati earlier this month.
