MSU defense has already lost two DL for the year. One was a starter, other was rotation guy.
Their OL has given up 7 sacks in the last two games.
We need to beat these guys up like we did SC. I dont pretend to know the gameplan to stop super kamario. But we should be able to run on their defense and grind them down in the 4th quarter. Keep their offense on the sidelines. Although, maybe MSU prefers a shootout and they sellout to stop our run.

He reminds me of a far better Milroe.... like what Saban and KDB had hope Milroe could be if he actually developed into a true QB.
So I would test that theory. I would probably show a lot of man and then switch to a some kind of zone with safeties high to take away his deep ball. Make him have to throw intermediate routes with precision needing to go to his second or third read.

Definitely. Young QB with a rocket launcher who is going to be hyped up for his first real big game. Make him be patient and try to frustrate him into forcing the ball.

I agree with all of that. But i think his 2nd/3rd read is gonna be to run. I think we will probably spy him, or maybe we just heat him up and try to force him to one side of the field. But he is good about staying in the pocket. I think he prefers to run up the middle vs to the edge.
It should help that our defense has had to face KR12 all spring bc they are similar QBs.

Which is exactly why I'm showing man but running a some kind of zone with safeties high. The zone will ensure he doesn't have too much room to run. We can mix in different stunts (specifically to force pressure up the middle to get him to escape outward) and a couple blitzes to try to get him off rhythm.
I don't think he is a run next guy like Milroe who ran if the first read wasn't there. I think he will stick in that pocket and accept the challenge, I just want to see if we can impact his "launch point" to see if that will make his balls flutter or hang. If we can do that the game would be over fast.
If we can't we will have to wear them down (they aren't that deep) and then run the ball through them late in the 3rd and 4th

There similarities for me is accuracy in the deep ball, calmness and athletic abilities.
I want Super Kamario to show ne he can read as quickly, stay calm when under significant pressure and still deliver strikes in intermediate areas
If he can do that the 2028 NFL draft is going to be these guys 1 and 2.

From what ive seen, that is what he does best. He can flick that deep ball from a tight pocket, no problem.

Safety play, pressure on Kamario, turnovers and our ability to run the ball. Those are my keys to this game.

I hope they sell out to stop our run. With their porous defense against the pass, KR12 will throw for 400+ and BAMA will score 50+.

I suspect that they actually pressure a bit less than normal in some down, distance, situations that they’ve scouted to be high pass probability. We’re going to need the run to keep MSU off the field and protect a thin edge pressure unit.
