I think some people are delusional. This team will struggle like hell with Auburn this weekend. Nothing is a given with this bunch.

Well the games this year are at least exciting most weeks … no need taking anybody for granted

Long story short, nobody sitting at number 1 wants to play Bama. We get in, we play with house money. Plus the melt here would be glorious.

I disagree. Teams look at the tape and they feel quite confident they can beat this team.

wasn't one of the Texas coordinators on tape saying Bama was easy to scheme for?

None of these top teams are scared of us lol

Which is why we need to pray that Bill O'Brien has been hired and will leave to begin recruiting right after Auburn

We all know nobody wants Golding

We may not be up to Bama standards, but I doubt many would have given us a shot in 2015 either.
Watched that team perhaps more closely than any other team I’ve ever watched. They would treat this team like Vandy.

That 2015 team had 3 ranked wins going into the playoffs. They had one loss and ONE signal digit win. Kiffin at OC and Smart at DC is 10x better then the two bozos we have right now. The defense had multiple alphas like Allen, Payne, Foster, Fitzpatrick, etc.

The team could play sloppy at times but it was still FAR more disciplined and old school Saban Bama then this Bama team. Acting like the situation this team is in to the one the 2015 one was in is hilarious

Based on what? Over the last 2 seasons, teams Bama has lost to or the numerous teams Bama has almost lost to didn’t looked scared at all. If anything these teams seem eager to get a chance to beat Bama while Bama plays scared

No one gave us a chance in 17. We went in at 4, smoked Clemson and beat Georgia in maybe one of the most timeless plays of all
Time. We played like it didn’t matter because we maybe shouldn’t have been there.

That 2017 team still had the no.1 defense in CFB. This team doesn’t have an elite unit on either side of the ball. That team also won the NCG because of the QB change. This team won’t have that “quick fix” happen because that’s not the issue.

Just because there are similarities in the sense that those other championship teams showed some weakness doesn’t mean this team is the same. Those teams still played more disciplined/physical football, had better play callers, and had more big time playmakers on both sides.

And for the record most predictions out today show Alabama dropping to #9 with UT still in front of them and Clemson jumping to 7. A lot of it is based of who we just beat that added nothing to our resume.

Yeah but it's all just parlor tricks at this point. You notice teams which won on the last second against unranked teams [a sure question mark for Bama/ Texas] and others which struggled when they shouldn't - were not penalized. Alabama drops... h'mmm.

The committee is just jockeying the order to suit their preferred outcome [which is why I hate committees behind closed doors].

They would love to leave the SEC out of the final 4 - LSU only plays into their plans as spoiler. As much as I love Bama, I'll root for the dawgs to win it all because I can't stand the others.

In the end the one thing that is not getting talked about is when all these other teams(minus the OSU /UM loser) are fighting for that final spot they will be playing in 2 weeks for their CCG and Alabama will not. The committee will get to see them one last time while we stay home and just watch.

Your correct, of course. But just as we know conferences have different strengths, I don't place as much 'one last look' when playing inferior competition.

Hear me out.

Not this year perhaps... but who here has thought traditional Clemson teams had much of an obstacle to get through the ACC championship.

The same can be said about Bama with the many years of a weak, east champion in Missouri, Florida, etc.

Yet several of the conference losers [and all playoff losers] will still be ranked ahead of Bama in the end.

I'm not crying about it... as someone else stated, Bama doesn't deserve it this year. But two loses with a total of 4 points in hostile environments should mean something.

I'd rather this team not make the CFP. They don't deserve it and would get humiliated.
