Funny thing is, there really is a University of West Georgia. It’s in Carrollton and my daughter graduated from nursing school there. Not sure if they have yet but their football program is moving up to FCS soon.

We have won 9 of 17 at Auburn since 1989

How are you getting that?

Bama won in 1999, 2001, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2021, 2023. Lost in 1989, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2013, 2017, 2019. That's 7 wins and 10 losses.

You’re right, I missed 03, 05, and 07. They still won 8 or more games in everyone of those seasons.

Auburn has a very good defense. Alabama has a very suspect offense. This will be a dog fight. It is a game AU certainly can win.

Based on these games that you’ve listed, you might say that Bama is the one with the voodoo in Jordon Hare

I was a walk on on that ‘89 team, the first team to go down to the cow pasture. We were ranked #2 at the time, but we ran into a buzz saw that night.
Take care of the ball, protect Ty and we win!!

Couldn’t agree more. As long as the offense or special teams doesn’t put them in terrible position, the defense should keep the score low. Offense needs to play the long game and we will win.

Alabama's suspect offense went up and down the field against the top defense in the conference on Saturday. Turnovers are what lost us that game.

We have never lost at Auburn to a team with a losing record.

Yes, let's talk about the streak during the streak. That never angers the sports gods.

I think it will be a tough game. Au has a good defense. I'd guess a one possession Bama win in the neighborhood of 29-24.

Bingo

Turnovers lost the game. Period

Statistically Oklahoma’s defense is ranked much higher than Auburns. I honestly think people are spinning this into something it’s not.

Honestly, if one of 5 plays ended differently we would have won. Either fumble, the punt return, the pick six, and the missed Fg.

The problem I saw, however, is that the only one who made a mistake and didn't own it - was Talty. Instead, he screamed at his long-snapper.

The special teams unit, is 3 people. The snapper did not do his job. He deserves criticism. However, Talty handled it poorly.

That logic extends to lots of games. If one of 5 plays ended differently vs USCe, Bama easily could have lost.

We have a solid team. I thought from the start of that last drive the magic would rally and we wouldn't even have to put Talty in position to win.

Obviously, that didn't happen. But, I won't take anything away from OU. They played hard; they influenced those 5 plays; and they got the win.

Just need the team to take care of business the next few weeks, and we are in.

I agree, and that’s why you can’t say one play won or lost us a game.

Real competitors relish that the chances at the SEC CG and CFP come down to one final game against fAU.

Nick Saban didn’t. He relished dominating so that with 100% effort and toughness, the results would never be in question. Not even he could usually avoid stupid play and bad luck at JHS.
